He's just back from Cuba this morning - a brilliant choice of holiday destinations since he was there right through the hurricane, but no one can guess things like that.

Luke has said several times he wishes he could do BB again and be more confident the second time round, but he probably doesn't wish it as much as Becky or Luke S do. I bet a lot of housemates come out and wish they could re-run the whole thing and do things differently. A bit like life in fact.

Is he still not smoking? I was going to tweet and suggest it, ours started two days before the bbuk finale but BBAU is non smoking and the flight is mega long and I didn't think it'd be nice for him. But if he's given up smoking anyway he could have. It finishes on Wednesday.

People on the aussie forums are always saying let them discuss nominations and I'm like noooooo it destroyed BBUK

Sadly yes, he is. He did say he was giving up, but it lasted about a day. In fact he said that if anyone saw him smoking, they had his permission to give him a wedgie, but he's probably hoping everyone has forgotten that now. I hadn't realized BBAu is non-smoking, but it must stop a lot of bickering about the shopping list.

I am amazed and really delighted. There he is, surrounded by cabinet ministers and olympic athletes and the poet laureate. And he should be; it shows how very few f to m people have any level of public recognition that he actually is the best known one in the UK at present. I had 100% convinced myself that it wouldn't happen (a bit like BB itself, where I had 95% convinced myself that he wouldn't win) so I am extra pleased about it.

Fantastic and 100% deserved. Take note Channel 5. You thought he wasn't worth bothering about.

Pretty exciting huh? I put Pink List on Twitter search round midnight and just waited for the numbers to rack up when the news broke (in between designing Christmas cards, night owl graphic designer that I am). Then when I scrolled down the list past all the Olympians - I can't begrudge it them with sport normally being not very gay-friendly - and saw Luke's name I was shaking with joy. Not only to get him in the list but as the highest placed transsexual EVER - wowowowowow! I'm thrilled to bits we've been able to do this for him.

Just on here I hope. I think there are only two housemates who have survived the horrible main forum for long - Cameron and Victor - out of about 20 I have seen join. I was FURIOUS about Jonty being driven off because he was never anything except charming and patient with everyone, then some moron pushed him just too far and he very politely said he thought it was time to go.

Would be nice to see him pop in here though - it has a really different atmosphere from the FB group, more critical and analytical, but sometimes that is a good thing imo.

That's a shame I didn't realise that Jonty stopped posting on this forum, I remember he posted on this thread a few months ago . I got the impression that he was only going post on here and reply to some of our older posts. Perhaps it will be a bit better now the forum is quieter

Interesting that on last night's twitcam Luke says that BB12 looked like a much nicer house than BB13, because I have always said that and got savaged on the MF. I can say it here because even if people disagree, they probably won't savage me. I think people don't want to think it because they disliked Jay so much, but in BB12, most people, including Jay and Aaron, got on pretty well with everyone else. Apart from the row over the birthday presents Jay and Aaron were reasonably good friends in BB12; on the exit night, they embraced each other, and Jay said he was glad Aaron had won. And of course the money split could only have been arranged because they were friendly and getting on well by then. There was no equivalent to the house split of BB13; no bullying; no one excluded from the main group.

It is also interesting that Luke went on to say that he might not have won in BB12 because he benefited from having the big contrast in behaviour with the insiders, which may be true as well (though I would still have supported him just as much, and voted just as much; but for me BB12 suffered badly by having no one I really supported after week 4).

It is always hard to imagine a housemate from one series in a different series, but maybe the very divided, often positively nasty BB13, arduous as it was at the time, suited him in terms of winning public support. I suppose we should be thankful that he wasn't in BB6 having to live with ogres like Craig Coates and Lesley Sanderson.

Hmm... Luke in BB12? Well if he was I might actually have watched more of it! It's the one series in all the regular BBs I just couldn't get into. If he'd been there then probably Mark (the only one I really liked) wouldn't have walked out and we would have been spared the tiresome Gladiator woman dragging it down further into some surreal episode of Eastenders.

Then again, Luke without Adam? Nah, that's pretty unthinkable. Some people just need each other to survive the madness.

That's great news . I didn't watch BB12 apart from a few episodes after the series ended.

Final starts in about 5 hours. I wouldn't bother watching, it's pretty poor compared to BBUK They go a little too safe with the psych evaluations where as I think BBUK walk on the line with those. They aren't given enough to do.

There were a few fights over the shopping like tofu and chocolate but Aussies tend to be a bit polite and they'll seethe but rarely throw a full blown tantrum. BBAU has always been smoke free and smokers have given up going in and have been the boringest housemates because they just sleep.

I always think so. Apart from anything else, they are noticeably less strictly moderated than the BB one. The religious threads seem to go on forever, and they are always the same, with no one listening to anyone else.

Not that the BB forum can't be a rough place as well sometimes. I have been known to lie awake for ages at night still furious about something on there and trying to construct a reply that will put an end to whatever has filled me with rage. It was nice to have the AT this year though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. I also do that when I think I've been too harsh on a housemate and I'm scared that they're going read my post .
