Agree with everyone else, waiting to hear the surgery had gone ok was awful. Let's hope he has the sense to take things easy and give the stitches time to heal. I often think one problem with painkillers is that they can lull you into a false sense of security. At least if you're in pain you know you have to take things easy until it goes away, without that reminder it can be tempting to just do all the things you would normally do and it's not necessarily a good idea. At least he doesn't have to go back to work or hide his pain or the operation he's had from anyone now so that's one good thing.

Val, you weren't a miserable git, you were the voice of reason as usual and have more experience in the area that all of the rest of us put together. At least it got clarified that it was a bit of fun rather than a serious attempt to find a cover.

Congratulations WD, very well deserved, it looked great! Val you weren't a miserable git at all, as Noisy Oyster said you gave Luke the opportunity to clarify that the competition was just a bit of fun, as some people had assumed it was for real.
Noisy Oyster, I noticed that too. I presume that Luke has just cut out the middle man, which seems like a good idea. Has everyone seen the new videos on Luke's channel?

I thought they were tied to the agent for a year after BB finished with an option for the agent to re-new if he wished when the year was up unless the agent decided to release them from the contract?
Aww, thanks you lovely lot. Every time I look at that picture I wonder how I could possibly have aligned everything so badly, but perhaps no one noticed. It was so weird seeing that someone else had won and seeing my design there though. 
I see that Charlie Brookes is getting all kinds of bitter nonsense on the I'm a Celebrity forum, proving that there is nothing like winning a series to bring out all the nastiness. I thought both the top two were great contestants.
I watched the youtube clips, which are really nice. I am slightly baffled by this stuff about him having put on 'loads of weight', because there he is today in the Essexy tee shirt looking perfectly slim. Is it an old photograph?

Just because you don't like someone or have been manipulated by the media into disliking them it doesn't mean you have the right to assume that others who disagree are (a) wrong or (b) all tone deaf grandmothers. I've heard him referred to as the Holy Moly man but not sure what that is. I'd have thought Luke would have learned his lesson about Jamie East from the other exchange they had but apparently not.

Thank you. Meh, don't mind me. I long ago realised my lot in life is to be a miserable git when everyone else is having fun. It's not like I'm bothered about the competitions, I'm not a competitive person.

I don't really care who wins but I feel I need to stick up for Christopher simply because of all the nastiness he's attracted. So he's middle of the road, that never did Susan Boyle any harm, but then he doesn't have that hook of being an asexual frump with learning difficulties onto which everyone can hang their patronising false love. If he wins, good luck to the bloke. It won't make western civilisation collapse in a heap.

Holy Moly is an entertainment gossip site. Like DS but even more sarcastic if that's possible. I see Mr East's Twitter pic shows him licking Rylan's face. That tells you all you need to know.

As Val says, Holy Moly is a gossip site - Sam Pepper was offered a job there after BB. You can subscribe for nothing and get an email of the day's celebrity gossip every day, but it is generally negative and often very bitchy in tone.
I am distressed about the facebook defections. There seems to have been some major disloyalty, and how silly to turn violently against a BB related site because of a disagreement about a different rtv show altogether. There is NO excuse for one or two of those people being so personal and so nasty; I know at least one of them has had a LOT of support.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who quite likes Christopher, I was a bit worried I'd be lumped in with the other lot who were being disrespectful to Luke and the group. To be honest I don't care that much who wins either, I think Christopher has the best voice but none of them are going to set the world on fire. I thought the 'euthanasia' thing was a bit cheeky ... in the same way that I'd tell my lads if I thought they were being rude about middle aged ladies (or indeed anyone). You're probably right about it being Luke's sense of humour - you all know I think he's lovely and I'm still bouncing around with a smile on my facing after getting his card in the post today. What a sweetie

It's really shocking. There should be a difference between backing a reality show contestant in general and supporting Luke and the Chelles who we've all come to know as friends, albeit facebook ones. Some of the things that have been said are really nasty and to accuse Luke of favouritism is frankly ridiculous. I'm unsure exactly who has gone apart from two names. The other two from the alternative group I don't even recognise as posting on the Luke facebook group anyway.
That was just horrible. I'm not surprised about PS, who has always struck me as a wind up merchant who can dish it out but not take it, but all the others GENUINELY shocked me as to how nasty they were about us behind our backs. I think there were 4 names in total that I recognised although the one who was the former admin may have already left of her own accord. Then there was someone else who's quit in protest against the conversation being copied onto our group. I only hope that those who were being nasty just had a beef with the group or the admin rather than Luke himself (although, as you say, that comment about favouritism was totally without merit).
As I said on there, Luke's group = Luke's rules. If he can't feel safe in a closed group with his name in the title, where on earth CAN he feel safe?

I think he's just very, very young. And I had a bit of a falling out with one of the others before when she just seemed to fly off the handle. I know that P regrets it. SO miserable that it happened just on the day Luke obviously deserved everyone to be happy, at least those of us who fell for Chelle's trick about sending her our addresses. And so soon after his operation. Grrrrrr. People. If I start behaving like an idiot on there, someone tell me before I am banned as well.
On a posltive note, we have two magazine interviews to look forward to.
Hopefully a bit cheaper than the transgender magazine, though I take their point that it is a fundraiser.

I didn't get one either but I am very wary about giving out my address to strangers! Still, it was a nice thing to do and I did send Luke a card.

The year before last I printed 2000 cards as a fund raiser for a charity, 500 of four different designs. One of the designs had a snake morphing into a candy cane; I liked it but no one else did. A snake on a Christmas card is obviously not the thing at all. In the end, since it was for a charity, I bought back all the unsold stock of snake cards (the others all went), so people I know are destined to get cards with snakes on forever. The giraffes pulling a christmas cracker sold out in about a day, so giraffes are obviously the way to go, not snakes.
