Problem writing DVD on a DMR-BWT800
I was trying to transfer a TV programme from my HDD to DVD for someone using my DMR-BWT800.
I put in a Toshiba DVD player to check and it did not recognise that there was a disc in the machine. It reads and plays OK in the DMR-BWT800, a Panasonic SD PVR with DVD and my laptop. I had recorded as SP so did another as LP but got the same result. I then copied the programme from the DVD to HDD using the Panasonic SD PVR, once there I blew another DVD using this Panasonic SD PVR. This one plays OK on my Toshiba DVD player. The DVDs are +R and yes, I did finalise. Anyone else had problems with the DMR-BWT800? |

Dmr-bwt800
I have the similar DMR-BWT720 which is the third Pannny I have had over the last three years. All of them really didn't like +R discs. Once I changed to DVD-R I never had another problem. Maybe just me, but it's worth a try.

Late - but two things to say.
Ensure you finalise a disc in the recorder that recorded the disc if you wish to play that disc on any other machine. Secondly, it is always best NOT to use +R discs (or any + type disc formats) in any Japanese origin machines. They will work, but all recordings will be restricted to 4:3 Aspect ratio. |
