AOL Problem

My Mum has a problem with AOL. Her emails are coming in with no 'sender' or 'title' – She is told to run 'quick restore' but doesn’t know where to find this function. She also cannot download attachments.

Now she is saying that she cannot access AOL through her normal software and has to go online using internet explorer to access AOL.

Unfortunately the online version of AOL does not have the same functions as her normal software.

Can anyone tell what is wrong?

I always prefer to wean people off the AOL software. Although not as atrocious as it used to be, there's little good reason to use it over a regular browser. Changing the home page to AOL and installing the AOL Toolbar should help get them acclimatised.

yeah i only use the cd to configure the modem/router than uninstalled it i dont get why people are told "you have to use aol browser"..

it would save them a lot of money and time if they just sent the routers out preconfigured then you can change the router name wifi password an wifi channel if you need and/or wanted then ditch the crappy software

Update

None of the E-Mails are showing the details (Date, Email Address, Subject).

I have tried to run Quick Restore but the button that I should click for Quick Restore is not showing.

According to the information on the help site my software is using ACS 3 or 4.

I have also noticed that every time I log onto AOL an error message (An error occurred while loading a file, AOL will attempt to restore the file) comes up.

Can anyone help with more information
