The red button icon top right is staying on my screen until I press green.
This used to be an issue previously until the broadcaster fixed it to disappear after 30 seconds. Now its up there continually on BBC1 and 2.
Anyone else noticed this? I am using Humax Foxsat HDR.
Will try my 9200T later to see if it also happens on Freeview+

The icon goes away when using freeview.

Green is working on my Foxsat HDR.

Just checked: Worked on BBC2 but not on 156 where it timed out instead.

Tried again - it's BBC2 on the HDR - channel 102 that keeps the red icon on the screen. Yes green button cancels it but yesterday I found the icon had imprinted my Panny plasma screen for a while while I was not around.

The same is happenning for me.

Must be either the recent f/ware or the way the beeb has messed around adding the 24 Olympic channels I guess.

Still having to cancel the Red Button with green. I notice on BBC News that it stays on screen as well as BBC 2.

It happens on the samsung and Humax so I guess the "brains" at the BBC have been playing with the timeout value perhaps for the games?

A while back they made a similar cockup setting it to a about three hours rather than under a minute.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcintern...service_a.html

See reply 23 from last year.

On the non-timing out press red icons, we've recently released a tool on Freesat that enables us to swap and change them easily. The original configuration was set for the icons to time out after 10800 seconds (also known as three hours) and you're right, that's just a bit long for most situations. We've tweaked the configuration to make it just a few hours shorter! The icons should now time out after 30 seconds or less.

Had a reply from the BBC - they told be to press to green button to cancel the icon!!!

So they did not read or understand my complaint about the 30 second time-out being removed.
