Orange Dolphin 20 (Blackberry) - using an Android phone
deiwise
05-08-2012
Hi all,

I gave my girlfriend a new Samsung Android phone last month, which she has fallen in love with. She is on a Blackberry package with Orange, Dolphin 20, which understandably has a data limit associated with it. The plan doesn't exist any more, but I think it's 250mb from what I have Googled. Android phones obviously use way, way more data than her humble old Blackberry, so I'm trying to find out what plan to put her on.

How stringently enforced are the fair usage limits on Orange? Is she likely to get charged when she breaches 250mb?

Should she change plan entirely, or buy an add-on which allows her more internet usage - and if so, can you recommend one?

Should she be using a different access point for mobile internet? I'm worried that she's using the wrong one (she's using the old sim from her Blackberry).
Any advice would be really welcomed

Thanks

Will

On Orange (their old plans) you're usually charged if you go over the 250mb.
Access point will be set up by the phone automatically so thats fine.

Ring up Orange and see if you're out of contract. If you are its best to move to a different plan with more internet. (minimum 500mb). Aso check out T-Mobile if she's a low user as they run on the same network now and have some good sim only deals.
