Famous stars killed off early on-screen

It's a trend that we appear to be seeing more and more of throughout the years. The most famous is undoubtedly Janet Leigh being offed 45 minutes into Psycho in that unforgettable shower scene. Others include Drew Barrymore in the opening of Scream (still shocking to this day), Emilio Estevez in Mission Impossible (he was in an uncredited role), Dylan McDermott in Runaway Jury (another role which was uncredited to my knowledge) and Gwyneth Paltrow in last year's Contagion. Are there any other examples?

Kylie Minogue did about 5 seconds at the beginning of Cut, and was killed I wanted her in the whole film

I love Cut! The movie is your standard slasher But Molly Ringwald telling people to F*** Off is great!

Yep! Even though it's clearly a love letter to Psycho, Drew Barrymore as Casey Becker is brilliant.

Julianne Moore dies a bit early in Children of Men. Certainly wasn't expecting her to go so soon.

Samuel L Jackson in Deep Blue Sea. Apparently it was a major reason for him taking the role.

Samuel L Jackson at start of True Romance...and in the same film Gary Oldman a bit later, but still early on in the film.

Marlon Brando in Superman (Edit: not on screen so I guess it doesn't count)

Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween Resurrection.

I'm not too sure how well known Jada Pinkett (She wasn't married to Will Smith at the time) was when she did Scream 2 even though she features on the Scream 2 poster with some of the main characters?.

OK, a TV move/mini-series, but the 1998 Merlin had as second billing John Gielgud, who lasted about a minute, maybe two, and then was killed. This "film" was split in two parts, so in the second part, John Gielgud still had second billing, and even his character's ghost didn't turn up.

Completely forgot about Jamie Lee being bumped off at the beginning of Resurrection. A complete turd of a movie, they should have left it at Halloween H20. I suppose she wanted closure on the most notable character she's ever played.

I don't think that Jada Pinkett was a big star when she appeared in Scream 2. She had done The Nutty Professor the year before but hadn't really been in anything else that was noteworthy.

I wouldn't count Hemsworth. He was hardly a Hollywood star at the time... Hadn't he done nothing much other than Home & Away?
