Unless Den rapes her, or plies her with alcohol to make her think he's his son, I find this very hard to believe.
Its disgusting.

Nah I get it -

Shannis get together, and Zoe turns to the closest thing she has to a Mini Den - a Big Den - for comfort.

And babies.

Perfectly plausable.

I am so pleased I don't watch EE anymore. It was bad enough the thought of Den impregnating Michelle 20 years ago, the thought of him doing the same with Zoe makes me feel quite Nauseous - it is too unbelievable

Now there's a missed opportunity - they should have given Zoe the clap from sleeping with Den (dirty shagster must have it by now ), not another f*ing baby storyline. And more Zoe wailing and sobbing. Now I can see why Michelle R wants to leave, who can blame her. Euccchh!

I can't believe there is any EE fan, however devoted, who thinks this storyline is a fab idea. I hope it's a leftover from the Berridge era, otherwise I am concerned for EE under KH.

I agree that this is not a storyline to get excited about. It's been done before, it's predictable, and its a little distasteful to say the least.

Kathleen Hutchison is in charge of the show now and it was within her power to change this storyline ( if indeed its a remnant from the Berridge era ). It might be too soon to judge, but on the evidence so far I'm not convinced KH is the right person from the job. She's axed Den, which I think is a mistake at this point, and axed Kate, which she is now having reconsider as it was "too hasty", and she's going with a storyline that sounds, to be frank, shite.

Anyone else..?

I agree that this sounds like a pants storyline and one that has been done a million times over. I think Lippincote has hit the nail on the head - Zoe should get an STI or give one to Den. After all the bedhopping Den and Dennis do they must have something nasty by now! And all that unprotected sex - has Mark's HIV storyline taught them nothing?

Actually I like the sound of that - Den & Dennis could both catch something, and then its gradually revealed who else has fallen victim to a serious case of crotch rot. We see Chrissie, Sharon and Zoe squirming uncomfortably, then Kate, and Kareena, Jane, Demi, Kat, and Stacey. Even Pat starts to have nagging suspicions..before long Big Mo has more to complain about than just her "farmer Giles", Pauline is rushing to the docs, and then the big revelation..Jim Branning emerges from the Vic scratching his nuts, puzzled....

Yeah - never mind another "who's the daddy?" storyline, we could have a who's got (or not) the STI story.

Crikey - the way they put it about in Albert Square there would be an epidemic. They could spice it up a bit with more than one type of infection. Maybe ut would help with the current problems with teenage pregnancy if soaps showed something like this. They never seem to use protection in Eastenders do they.

Aye - Instead of "Sharongate" or something like that, they could call it "Clapgate"

Blimey, what are we trying to do, make all the EE cast die of AIDS?

I agree, this storyline is abysmal. I could be wrong of course (*hopefully*), but I seriously fear that this is going to backfire big-time on EE. This better not me KH's idea, as if it is, and the storyline goes as badly as predicted, I swear never to watch EE ever again

If there was any proof needed that Eastenders is clueless and beyond help then here it is.

Whats the chance that anyone in a soap will ever

A. Have a planned pregnancy

B. Get pregnant by their own partner

C. Not weigh up whether to have an abortion or not

D. Be delighted about it

E. Wait until the 12 weeks are up before announcing it

F. Not announce the pregnancy in the middle of the pub/nightclub/cafe/shop etc.

Any chance?

If Zoe does get pregnant, she will not have an abortion because as she explained during the Mo rape storyline she is Pro-life.

If they must kill of Den, why can't he have a heart attack or something. We do not need any more babies, affairs or rapes in the Square. They have all been done so much, it's become very stale.

It's a wonder all people in soapland don't all move away to live somewhere safer.

Kathleen Hutchison (the new executive producer) didn't come up with the idea. By the time she got there, things were well underway. Can't anyone remember Louise Berridge the crazed looney saying "something old, something new, something blue" All the filming would have been done by the time Kathleen got there (skipped to Xmas), she could only improve the ridiculous storyline with that she was left with. No wonder Kathleen decided to axe Dirty Den, she probably saw this storyline and cringed with horror. I don't think we are in for a treat with this storyline, might be best to avoid it!

Makes you wonder if and how much Louise Berridge had to do with the new Moons...

Something old - Den getting younger woman pregnant
Something new - Moon brothers
Something blue - Paul's death

....
.......
..........

Therfore, I'm confident KH knows what she's doing and wouldn't have dreamt of going with this storyline.

I can't see this happening, Zoe and Den Watts, I mean Zoe only sleeps with men that Kat has slept with before and I'm pretty sure she hasn't slept with Den Senior
