I have been a strong advocate of Shopto since I started using it 3 - 4 years ago, they really are an excellent service, I am glad they are still the same

I like it...... a lot.

Just had a funny moment. I stole a Taxi and was tearing though town and stopped at some lights. Some guy jumped in the back and asked me to take him somewhere to which my character turns around and says "Do i look like a taxi driver to you?" before the man screamed and jumped out of the car.

For a moment i thought there was going to be a taxi mini game.

i tried to flag a taxi down however i didn't hold down the y button long enough so i ended up chucking the driver out just as a bus flew fast, poor guy is no more

Is there a free play like the other True Crime games?

I loved arresting people who tried to knock me over

I'm interested in the game too - what's the verdict so far? I'm a bit off put that the campaign is quite short. Hopefully the open world shenanigans makes up for it!

You can free roam and do your own thing, but you can't really arrest randoms.Without spoiling the story for you, your an under cover cop trying to get the triads to trust you so i don't think it would be wise to start pulling out the handcuffs. At the same time, killing innocents and damaging public property is frowned upon, and you'll get negative (police) points for doing so.

Still plenty to do though. You can buy cars, clothes and furniture for your flat, take on drug gangs, gamble money in cock fights and help random people who will sometimes try to double cross you.

It's been a lot of fun so far!

Not sure how short this game is, but IGN have quoted 20-25 hours which is fine by me. I'm taking my time anyway doing things that iv'e mentioned above,so i'll probably get over 30 hours+ out of this. It's worth mentioning that i've died a hell of alot too. I've got a little bit too big for my boots in some fights and ended up being over run by the enemy. Some fights just aren't easy.

20-25 hours definitely sounds more appealing than the 14 hours DS quoted! I'll no doubt end up buying it regardless. It sounds great.

I had a quick look at the stats in game last night and from what I can remember there were 30 main story missions, along with 4 cop cases to solve, over 30 favours (side missions) races and a host of other stuff! Including '18 world events' which I'm hoping somebody else can explain or clarify?

....There's probably more that I've missed including all of the activities!

Iv'e been spending most of my time trying to take out the drug gangs, and i keep getting killed repeatedly. It's those f**kers with the knifes that keep getting me!

Anyway,i've been playing for about 8 hours now and just come across my first gun. Tried to take a drug gang head on but having a gun battle in the middle of the street had the fuzz on me like a shot who gunned me down instantly...... Think i'll stick to the kung-fu.

Just finished the main story and thoroughly enjoyed it. (Arrived yesterday and off work so had alot of free time xD)

Regarding the story once or twice I was a bit lost as it flows quite quickly about 2/3's in, but nothing that will spoil the overall experience. 15 hours 25 for the main story according to my stats, but i've still got a fair bit of the side missions/favours to complete so will easily go over 20 I believe.

Definitly a reccomended game, it's refreshing to have a game set in Hong Kong and not just generic american city, it really does have a unique feel to it does the city. Voice acting as well is SUPERB, the mix of Chinese and English works really well, again, it adds to the Hong Kong feel of it.

I had hyped the game up a lot to myself before release and whilst it didn't hit those heights it's still a really good game, I'd reccomend it definitely to people who are on the fence about it.

Oh and the hand to hand combat with the martial arts and counters is by far the most satisfying hand to hand experience i've ever played

Just a heads up for Left Handed PC players. The Arrow keys are currently mapped to the in-game phone and can't be remapped, at least not yet.

Well i did a complete 180 on what i originally said and decided to buy this today... yet here i am without a copy

Thanks to yet another boneheaded decision by gamestation i don't have the game

Since last november (this is as far back as i can clearly remember its probably longer) with Modern Warfare 3 i've had no problems buying an 18 rated game until today with sleeping dogs

Now i haven't gone any younger in the past year, in fact the only thing i have changed is shaving (after finally realising that i will never grow a good daniel bryan and after the requests of my friends to get rid of it) and having a haircut

So apparently the longer your hair the bigger your chance of buying an 18 at gamestation

For anyone wondering i'm 22 years old and i've just finished attending university (yet my uni id with a my photo on it is not ID, as there is always the chance i'm a child prodigy after all)

I remember buying 18 rated games when I was 11, I didn't think they took them seriously.

The game game from amazon for me today, I'm just downloading the HD texture pack 15 mins to ago can't wait to try it out.

No game for me. Wanted to try ShopTo considering all the great reviews. Sadly, hasn't turned up despite being despatched, still in the halls of Royal Mail.

Hoping I won't have to wait 15 days to file a lost parcel report and that it might turn up late tomorrow or Monday.

Wish I'd just stuck with Amazon, never mind. First and last time with shopto

You've completed it? what's wrong with you? YOU are the reason why the play n' trade market is so strong.
