I think it'll be back to where it was two weeks ago tonight.

That'll be lower than last week (which was dented by Strictly, which is not on tonight) - why do you think that?

For tonight's show I'm going for a 8.3 million average and a peak of 9.1 million . Sundays show I'm going for 8.9 average and peak of 9.9

Brilliant show tonight, but don't know which way it'll go.

It doesn't rely entirely on social media though. Britain's Got Talent doesn't get anywhere near as much as X Factor but it still gets 9-10m.

I'd say around 8.4m; 300k on +1.

I think that Sunday's rating will be high again.

Averaged 9.1m with a peak of 10.4m last night, with +1.

Great result.

It's a good figure once again - but I can't help thinking that those should be a bit higher. At least timeshifting will make up for it, and they may well improve as we get into bootcamp.

Last weekend, the increase between Saturday & Sunday was 1.2m. If we see a similar increase tonight, it could break 10m.

2million viewers down from the same episode in 2011. Cant compare to last year's episode as that faced the Paralympics closing ceremony.

The X Factor is very strong so far. We're basically getting 9M consistently. Very impressed

No it didn't. The Sunday episode faced the Paralympics Closing Ceremony. Anyway, it beat every single Saturday audition show from last year so that's poor spin from you today Samuel.

2011 isn't a good comparison as that series came off the back of a really successful series, so it started out very well.

This was posted by Score in the Ratings Thread:

Compared with last year's third audition show it was up +0.5m. Compared with last year's penultimate Saturday audition show (last night was the penultimate Saturday audition show) it was up +0.9m, and compared with the episode on the equivalent date last year (which was the final Saturday audition show) it was up +0.1m.

So it was up anyway. It's up on last year, and that's all that matters.

And you have to include +1, as that's what the likes of advertisers like to see (I think that's what was mentioned).

It didnt get 9million last saturday [nor did it today excluding the repeat]. Wait and see how XF rates on 27th September, that will be a very important night for the show.

Samuel, we get it. You don't like XF or anything to do with it, and you want it to fail.

Still don't know why you're posting here. I don't watch Strictly, but I don't waste my time going over there and providing negative spin. I post the ratings and that's virtually it.

Give or take inc +1 it's around the 9M mark. Did the show not peak with 11 million at some stage too? The X Factor is making a steady come back.

Impressive.
I hope the Sunday trend continues and tonight gets even higher ratings.

I seem to recall you moaning earlier this year when people compared The Voice year-on-year. You clearly don't like The X Factor and can't accept the fact that it's doing well this year, so instead of constantly posting threads in this forum providing a negative spin why don't you discuss things you actually enjoy like Strictly for example?

It's actually rather sad the lengths some people will go to when they dislike a show.

That said, great recovery last night. It's on par with the launch show isn't it?

Yes. The launch show had 9.2m inc +1.

I also don't know why he bothers to post here either.

Samuel is so bitter, I don't understand. He seems to have a real dislike for The X Factor...it's a bit embarrassing for someone to have a real hatred for a TV SHOW lmao. I don't like Strictly but you don't see me bashing it every day...

It's nice to see the ratings are improving...

Some people really need to understand the point of a discussion forum. And, could you imagine how boring these forums would be if everybody was positive and upbeat about the topic?

I have no idea why Samuel wants to post here but I would rather read him than some of the sycophantic claptrap that some others post.

He's churning out the same rubbish week after week, so it does get a little repetitive...

This weeks episode felt a lot fuller than last weeks. It didn't want to make me turn the channel, whereas last week it did.

To be honest there are quite a few you could say that about. A certain Tamara fanatic does come to mind But if people are so offended by him just put on ignore. Life is too short to get wound up over inanities.
