I think they even attempted a bit of damage limitation last night with a few mentions regarding crying...
I think, that, more than many issues is turning the public off in droves.
I can't think of a single person I've spoken to who says...
"I can't wait to watch the X-Factor tonight...it's so moving when they fall apart in front of the camera."
Mercifully, last night's effort, was blub-free.
