Wow SCD did good for a 6.30pm slot just introducing the new celebs.
Going to be very interesting this year with these two shows. |

I think having 10m people watching X Factor is still amazing good. Thinking back on when it first start it had lower ratings.

However, that peak is just 10m, we don't know how much it is exactly (go over to the ratings thread for more info), but XF needs a 10m+ average in order to do well. Tonight, it hasn't got much competition so it should manage that. |

From the Ratings roundup:
20:10 - The X Factor: 8.6m, +1: 0.4m (9.0m/39.5% inc +1) * series high * peak: 9.5m/10.0m (exc / inc +1) * averages (exc and inc +1) and peak (inc + 1) down by 19-20% and over 2m year-on-year As with Xtra Factor: 21:10 - The Xtra Factor: 1.3m inc +1 So Xtra Factor is on par with last year, but the main show appears to be low. It'll be interesting to see the numbers for tonight. |

For the first year, I have only watched the Xtra Factor so far. It's less serious and more fun than the main show. I watched the first main show, but none since. I wish Barlow would go.

I wonder what the ratings will be this week.
I hope for at least a 10m average. |

I hope for at least a 10m average. But they will lose a an awful lot of viewers if they spend to much time on.

X Factor bootcamp experience 'brutal'
Quote:
^^ I had hoped they'd cut these silly stunts this year. Generally people don't enjoy watching that sort of thing and in the end it doesn't actually create any drama either imo (which is what they want).
Quote:
This year's wannabe music stars of the future are in for a rough ride, with more than 200 X Factor hopefuls culled to just 24 in the space of 72 hours at the show's "brutal" bootcamp. http://www.u.tv/Entertainment/X-Fact...0-d55ec06e72fe
Tears and tantrums look to be on the cards this weekend - and that's probably just the judges! From the acts, expect more microphone flinging, bum notes (not to be confused with the bum-flashing performances during the audition stages) and pleas for another chance. "No. We don't want to hear that again," comes one swift put-down. Uh-oh, Gary's channelling Simon Cowell again. Sixty songsters were unceremoniously axed before they got so much as a note out and even those whose talents were lauded as they earned their bootcamp spot are left feeling the pressure. You guys, this is brutal ... Nicole Scherzinger Remember supermarket worker Jahmene Douglas? No one expected the shy 21-year-old in his suit and buttoned-to-the-neck shirt to impress - let alone blow them away with a stunning rendition of the Etta James number At Last. But either he's his own toughest critic, or it all goes a bit wrong when he's back in front of the judges for a second time. "I've just come off feeling like I've completely let them down," Jahmene says after Mr Barlow stops his performance with the dreaded hand and he heads backstage, dejected and with his head down. It can't all be bad though, with the now blonde Tulisa declaring: "I've never seen this much talent - every category is so strong!" And for those who do have their dreams shattered, the lovely Dermot O'Leary is always on hand for a much-needed hug. So better not stab him in the face with the metal spiky things on your jacket, huh, Rylan Clark? Oops! Watch out for the painful backstage moment this weekend ... Tune in for the X Factor bootcamp shows on UTV this Saturday at 8.10pm & Sunday at 8pm. |

^ I have a feeling quite a lot of people will switch off after that.
But I think Sunday's show will have quite a high peak (last year it got 13.8m including +1) as the final 24 are revealed. |

Bootcamp in 2009:
Saturday show: 9.05m (36.6%) *peak: 10.10m (39.5%) Sunday show: 10.87m (42.5%) *peak: 12.2m (45%) Bootcamp in 2010: Saturday show: 11.3m (46.4%) *peak: 12.7m (50%) Sunday show: 12.6m (44.4%) * peak: 14.24m (48.1%) So I'm hoping it to come near the ratings of 2010, if not 2009. |

Compared to 2009, 2010 and 2011's ratings (which i have posted above), how well do you think it'll rate?
Tomorrow 12 Hope it does even better though. |

Tomorrow 12 Hope it does even better though. I don't understand why XF fans are so obsessed with the show getting huge ratings? Just accept the ratings for what they are. |
