When the bus pulled away, I expected Ste to turn round and Brendan to be stood further away in the village, with such a pained expression on his face that he couldn't go and comfort him.

And it would've made me happier for tomorrow if Ste went to Brendan, cos he'd get the chance.

But Brendan was too busy faffing with Declan.

As the bus pulled away, I really thought Brendan would be standing there and then we'd <almost> get our kiss in the rain scene.

I was surprised that I was happy for Brendan not to be any real part of Amy's leaving.

The last scene they shared was fine, I didn't need her really going off at him or him pretending he liked her.

Even if he and Ste were together he would have done well to steer clear.

Again Doug should have done the same.

I don't want to hate Doug but they are making it impossible.

All it would take is for him to say I will step back, I know how hard this is for you, come and find me when you want comfort.

Instead we get him making Ste go and do something that could have been done the next day and not spending the day with his kids.

In fact that really bothers me, Ste knows they are leaving and he may not see them for a couple of weeks but they made it all about Amy and Doug.
