The Two Nicky Tilsleys

Being a man, I'm no expert on this but having seen the original (Warren Jackson) as he is now, I would have thought he could easily knock the spots off Adam Rickett in the looks stakes!

OK so the guy had some spots but he does have the advantage of not actually being Adam Rickett which is always a bonus for me. I never got the attraction with Adam. Sure he looked great from the neck down, but any time he opened his mouth any sex appeal he had disappeared for me. I liked Nicky#1 a lot better.

Warren looked well when he was being interviewed-perhaps he is trying to look like Adam Rickett? But he didn’t look so good when they went to the set. He looked more like the Nick that we knew from back then.
Warren acted with Lindsay King and Thomas Ormson- the first David until 1996 when he left..

Lindsay and Thomas then acted with Rickett when he arrived in 97 until 99. Tina O Brien then replaced Lindsay that same year and acted with Thomas until 2000 when he was replaced by Jack Shepard.
It wasn’t until 2002 that Rickett, O Brien and Shephard all appeared together.
Thankfully now Rickett is gone and hopefully will never come back. If they do bring back Nick it would be good if Warren got the job. At least he doesn’t have an ego and pretensions of being a pop star.

It has been known to happen when an original cast member is replaced and then the replacement is then replaced by the original!
In Dynasty the original Steven was replaced and in the story they said he had plastic surgery. But then the original actor came back later.
In Brookside Lucy Collins was played by Kathryn Cartlidge and then another actress and then Kathryn returned. But not for long as the actress who played her mother Dorean Sloan died and it was decied as a mark of respect to write the family out. Sadly Kathryn also died a couple of years ago.

I agree entirely that Adam is a hopeless actor, but I have to admit I did have a major tweeny crush on him a few years ago..

Did you realise you just said that out loud?

Warren was certainly 'hunkier' than Adam on last night's showing. Adam looks like a pre pubescent girl (as he said himself I won't comment on what that says about you Garbage - only joking!).

I didn't watch the show, and have no idea what Warren looks like though.

Lol.. Ouch! In my defence, I only really fancied him when he cut his hair, back when he first met Maria. The floppy fringe days I agree, were tragic.. Adam had a great body at least. It could be worse.. at least I didn't choose Jack Ryder as my tweeny crush!

I thought it was funny when Tina O'Brien first started, Adam Rickitt had been and gone the first time, there was a scene in Sarah's bedroom, and who did she have a poster of on her wall???

Adam Rickitt.

Barbara Bel Geddis from 'Dallas' was ill and so replaced for a short while before coming back.

Aussie soaps have done it a few times. The actresses playing Selina and Ailsa from 'Home and Away' and Cheryl from 'Neighbours' when ill had their parts taken over, but returned once they had recovered.

Lol, I could never believe that my taste could have been that bad! I can at least see why I fancied A.R.. Spencer's supposed appeal is completely lost on me.

I wonder when TV3 will run this "Corrie kids" special..

I thought he looked spookily like Chris Finch who played Karl. When he first appeared I had to do a double take. I agree, Warren Jackson is far better looking than Adam Rickitt and I think acting wise, he would have been more "real" for the Street.

Thank you, that's the very thing I was about to post I thought it was Chris Finch for a second as well. He did look scarily like his younger brother or something.

I always identified with Nicky growing up, being remotely the same age, blond, blue eyed and difficult.

I was crushed when he was written out and then to come back as some talentless gay 'dreamboat' upset me no end. Blatant T&A for the girls. I'm saddened that Corrie has dropped down to this level previosuly occupied by the aussies and 'enders.

It's ironic now, seeing Warren looking quite similar to Adam Thickett. Atleast casting wise they picked someone who wasnt too far removed from the original article. Makes you wonder why they bothered.

Like wise for 'TracyLuv'. Not so fussed about the current incarnation but atleast she looks vaguely similar.

Ken's late daughter however... When she was married to Mike Baldwin in the 80s she blonde and glamorous. As glam as you can be and stil be the fruit of Ken Barlows loins anyway.

Her short lived return before her death had her as brunette and frumpy. Nothing like her former self. Leaving you wondering "what was Mike thinking?" I guess he really was living with her just to p**s off ken.

People have been saying Warren Jackson looked a bit like Adam Rickett, but was it just me or did anyone think he looked slightly like Chris Finch who played Carl Foster (Todd's boyfriend)??

Adam Ricket could come back as Nick for one episode and he could be beat up badly by a new character played by Warren who would start going out with Sarah.????
