XTC - WOUNDED HORSE LYRICS

Well I stumbled
And I fell
Like a wounded horse
When I found out
You’d been riding
Another man

Well I staggered
Round in circles
On a loser’s course
When I found out
You’d been riding
Another man

Well my friends all said
Just climb back in the saddle
And you know that everything will turn out right
Well my friends all said
You won’t sink if you paddle
But my ship drifts on into an endless night

Well I bit out
My own tongue
Like a wounded horse
When I found out
You’d been riding
Another man

Well my friends all said
Just climb back in the saddle
And you know that everything will turn out right
Well my friends all said
You won’t sink if you paddle
But my ship drifts on into a endless night

Well I bit out
My own tongue
Like a wounded horse
When I found out
You’d been riding
Another man

When I found out
You’d been riding
Another man

I liked early XTC (This is Pop, Generals & majors , Making plans 4 Nigel) & stuff a bit later ("Wake up" being a rather dramatic favourite) though not keen on the Tod Rungren produced stuff. Didn't they do a mock psychadelic album as "The dukes of stratosphere".

Many years ago (no really-a very long time ago) I had an XTC "greatest hits"VHS (so old it came in a BIG video case)- I think it was called "Look,Look" - Ended with "it's too late" - I don't even think it was Hi-Fi. A DVD would be a welcome addition as the VHS is long passed on (could have been worse, like my entire Live Aid (that I still have all on Betamax-with no player*sigh*).

I only know the "Making Plans for Nigel". They showed it on Jumbo Vision (Blink TV) at Wembley Arena between Ash and The Darkness on Friday. Top track.

You do know that Live Aid is now available on DVD from all good outlets?

Yes I bought the Live Aid DVD, only it's just the bands, not the day, nothing of the stuff inbetween. Not even Saint Bob & "give me the ****ing money" = so was kinda keen to see the day as it was in my faded memory.
