I bought my Pioneer player from www.techtronics.com. The player arrived within two days and I have never had a problem with it.
A multiregion Toshiba SD210E is available for £199, or for £225 if you want the macrovision disabled as well

www.avland.co.uk

I decided against techtronics after reading all the awful posts in the newsgroups about them, even if they werent true i didnt think it was worth risking it. Anyway, i found somwhere else that was also cheaper than techtronics, although it was for a different player.

I went for the pioneer DV444-S at avlanand.co.uk for £179 which included postage etc, and its fully region free and RCE capable. It also does this with a flash upgrade instead of any modding, which i thought might be a bit smarter as less room for error.

Well the link for the offer of £179 is:
http://www.avland.co.uk/pioneer/dv444/offer.htm

oh I ordered monday, got it wednesday and I have been playing about with it all day and I must say I am really impressed. Only tiny complaints are that the setup menus are really dull, just black on white text and the remote is a little tacky.

but the picture is fantastic in RGB and the sound is amazing so i am very happy!

just thought i would share in case anyone else was looking for a new purchase

I had a look through some of the complaints in the newsgroups about Techtronics. Ok they may not be that bad, but from what I've read, I'm not going to bother buying from them. It's not worth taking chances.
