I liked this bit..

Hutch the Hatchet!

PRODUCER Kathleen Hutchison has now given TEN stars the chop — and she’s still only two months into her reign. They include . . .

Maybe the producers could see more trouble on the horizon...

Spencer is certainly no loss and if KH had any sense she would have axed the character anyway. (I don't know why I am assuming any of this is true - it IS in the Sun ).

It doesn't bother me whether he was sacked or decided to leave, the main point is that he has gone!

i think that it was probably the best idea for the show in general. Alfie is too much of a happy chappie and nana moon is an old dear. With the new Moon cousins arriving, i just think that Spencer doesn't fit in

Is that the latest 'sensational' EE storyline? Mind you they're axing nearly half the cast so the flora and fauna are always handy in supporting the bare bones of the cast.

Yeh I was just going to say that actually, with the two Moon brothers arriving, Alfie is going to be doing a lot of scenes with them and Nana, I couldn't see how Spencer would fit in. Unless he was ignored just carried on running the chippie. In either way, I'm glad he's gone. He did nothing for the show, is a brutal actor and from what we've heard is a guy with a lot of issues and a bit of a prima donna.

This has to be one of the biggest character culls in a soap. Kate Mitchell was absent from that list, maybe she's been given a reprieve after all.

Ho ho ho! So true,

Sorry,

ho HO ho! so TRUE.

And Kate has been given a reprieve, it's in the DS soap news archive. I think it's because she's proved so popular i SCD to be honest.

I don't think it has happened yet though, in the DS news it just says they are thinking of ways to write her back in doesn't it?

Why was Dahlip Tal (sp?) on the axing list? He's already left, surely that should have been Sasha.

i think the truth about his suicide bid is coming out now, and that the gay rumours were a cover story, face it would you employ him again if you knew he would try and kill himself if you axed him.

Hang on a minute. Why are you guys being so nasty?????He seems like a really nice guy. I was really sad when I heard he tried to kill himself. I think it will be a great loss to Eastenders because he is the one the girls fancy (including myself). I don't understand how you guys can say such horrible stuff about him especially after all the pain and suffering he has gone through. There are too man spiteful people in this world.

Girls fancy him? Perhaps, but Spencer was irritating. We've said beofre and we'll say again, we wish NO harm or bad feeling to Chris Parker, we just don't like Spencer.

Do people think he orchestrated the whole ‘failed suicide attempt’, just so that KH would reinstate him again?
I think that’s the real reason KH told him to fcuk off.

The other point I have to make is, maybe if he had spent his money more carefully instead of hiring an expensive legal team and threatening to sue everyone for defamation of character, he’d be better set up for the future now (Just in case he doesn't get another job for some time ).

I wish no harm on Chris Parker whatsoever, the only wish I have where's he's concerned is that I never have to suffer his awful attempts at acting ever again.

An excert from Monday night's Comedy Zone, from 9, on BBC Two

Girls fancy him?? - I'm going to ask that to a group of 18/19 year olds at 2pm today and see the response. I'll get my wife (a teacher) to ask the same question to a bunch of 11 and 12 year olds before 3:15, and finally ask my friend - a primary school teacher to ask a bunch of 8-9 year olds later today too.

I look forward to the response and will pass it on later this afternoon.

Unfortunately, he is "already working on another project for the bbc" according to an article on this site Although then again ... it didn't say he's attempting to act so maybe they have found him something more suited to his talents.

According to Shane Ritchie they knew he was going all along, that he would have left next year. Also he's apparently working on a new project with the BBC. I wonder if this is the same project that Louise Berridge is apparenlty working on? lol

Maybe she's taking over The Sky At Night, on once a month at some unearthly time of the morning so nobody watches. LB's revamp will include Spencer being put on a NASA rocket and in search of life form in another galaxy, 50m light years away.
Well we can but hope.

Ah, note the use of the word 'project' - that doesn't necessarily mean an acting role, he might be building them a nice extension or something
