^ Wow, your brother's cake work is brilliant! It's great for people's creative sides to come out if their regular job doesn't call for it.
Thanks! I was proud of him myself tbh - his handwriting is crap & he works as an electrician!
He's tried many a thing but in this area he's even impressed me, his elder sister - who would have thought, really!

He's 6' 4" and an ex Rugby player too - don't know what happened to him?!

Peppa Pig birthday cake. Similar to the one I made last year. It looks like Peppa got a bit hurt in transit

Accompanying cupcakes:
Chocolate Sundae and Vanilla Garden (brand new design)
Triple Oreo and Vanilla/Jam Rose (raspberry jam in the middle)

Thanks Andy

Aww, thanks P'catz!

I made a Peppa Pig cake last year also, and my pal saved Peppa for some time before she got eaten. They just didn't want to eat her because she was so cute!

Rainy day. Half term. Nothing to do except bake strawberry cupcakes, of course. https://www.flickr.com/photos/151591...ream/lightbox/

^ good idea, as strawberries are lovely at the moment. And my local market is selling them very cheaply.

Had a good caking session yesterday with my friend:

They're my friend's cupcake carriers, I'll ask her where she got them and let you know. I think she said Argos but I'll double check.

A couple of people of the Chatter thread said they also liked the look of the yellow ones. I think for the lovely colours, very summery.

I ate five in less than 24 hours...this is SUCH a terrible hobby when one is trying to lose weight

Haha! It can be difficult, but in fact, these days I can make cupcakes without having to sample the goods. I only make them on special occasions. The problem is when I am making cupcakes with my friend, we make a large quantity for her project, and then there are always some leftover, and she FORCES me to eat them!

Made them all before, but a few days ago me and my pal made a big batch of strawberry vanilla and strawberry choc cakes (all filled with strawb jam), raspberry choc chip and raspberry white choc chip:

And I finally bought myself an old fashioned ice-cream scoop, to dispense cake batter quickly, cleanly and easily into the cases. I so wish I had bought one ages ago!
