A lot of times, I make cakes just to 'see if I can'
Me too, or I used to, never seem to find the time now. When I do make something I take it into work and it gets polished off soon enough! xx

I had to look up 'minion' when you first mentioned it as I didn't know what it was by name. Your cake looks great Andy!

Wow, wow, wow. You are all so talented. I just drooled all over all 12 pages of this thread!

I'm pretty new to this baking thing so I'm still working on my presentation but I enjoy it!

I made this Birthday cake yesterday. It was for nobody in particular. I just fancied making a little girls' Birthday cake. I needed a name to put on it, so I used my wifes' name

The karate Minion looks far too cute to eat! I wouldn't mind trying one of your lemon meringue cupcakes though!

I finished making this cake last night at about 9 O'clock !
It's a Birthday cake for my Karate instructor. It is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, chocolate ganache and covered in fondant. The lettering was a bit of a squeeze, but I manage to get the message on !

Looks great. What sort of cake do you use? Basic sponge cake?
