Here are the cupcakes I made this week. They are (from Left to Right), two rows each of Peach cupcakes, Blueberry cupcakes with white chocolate frosting and Apple Pie cupcakes

Don't know if anyones mentioned already but there is a food pictures thread which is used for all kinds of food including cakes, buns etc.

Just thought I'd mention as everyone already posts in there so if this thread seems to disappear as no one is posting feel free to post all your photos in the other.

Lets hope it doesn't come to that and both threads will be popular

Here are some buns my partner made a few weeks back for a charity even

Buns, Buns, Buns

This is the cake I made for my friends' girlfriend. They were very pleased with it and and said it was the best Walnut cake they had ever had !

That is a good one. Massive though, hope there was lots of people to snaffle that up.

No wonder your prices for the ingredients went up. Glad they liked it.

Thanks Clive !
I think that after collecting it from me, they took it to a party and gave the guests a piece each.
But alternatively, they just might have took it home !
The practice one which I did last week gave 28 portions, but that was 2 and a half inches thick - this one was FIVE inches thick !
When I covered the cake with fondant, the top was covered in creases so I had to roll out some very thin fondant to cover the top

Thank you
The cake recipe is a Jamie Oliver one, to which I added roughly chopped walnuts.
The buttercream filling had ground (not chopped) walnuts added.

I'm sure you're camera's fine, but it probably wants more light. Try photographing them in front of a window- and if you want closeups, then maybe experiment with the macro (flower) setting.

Well, I pressed the Macro button, and the little flower icon appeared on my screen, but it still came out blurred.

Because you need more light. More light=faster shutter speed=sharper image. Natural, full spectrum light is best.
