Can't believe I've not seen this thread before. I love baking/cooking.

Lainiomonkio That Gingerbread house is stunning. I wanted to make one this Christmas, but just haven't had the time. Might do one at Easter instead.

Here's the Christmas Cake I made for this year.Penguin Cake

And these are some Cupcakes I made also. I gave a few boxes out of these as Christmas pressies, went down ok I think.
Christmas Cuppies.

Going to have a good look through the thread now, some of the bakes I've seen on the last few pages look scrumptious!

Those Xmas cupcakes are superb! The detail on them! I wanted to make some similar but I left it too late to order the tools and colours. The recipients are very lucky people indeed, well done!

Amazing!! Do you bake professionally? If not, you should seriously consider it. Stunning decoration.

Ahh thank you both for your comments, made me blush. I don't do it professionally, just a lovely hobby really. I'll make cakes for family, friends and neighbours if they ask me.. I have thought about doing something like this though, but it's so daunting, and with the current climate out there, I'm not sure I'd want to take the plunge just yet. Maybe one day though...

Victoria Sponge, I've got so many gadgets, I can't make enough cakes to use them all! lol. I get such a buzz out of making them, and decorating them. I find it very therapeutic to turn on the Kenwood and loose myself in a cloud of flour.

Have nearly finished the Christmas cake. Next cake will probably be sons birthday cake in Feb. Or a Valentines cake.

Those cup cakes are amazing I think the cute fondant decoration is much better than the over done butter cream swirls on cup cakes.

Wow, so many amazing looking cakes! I can never seem to master the icing and decorating part.

These are probably one of my favourite cakes to make. Vanilla cupcakes with Nutella frosting. http://www.flickr.com/photos/gondoli...7622077231664/

We have our pal coming in a short while, so I made him this as a belated Christmas/New Year gift, as he has been away in the USA.

He is an Oreo freak, and I normally bake him Oreo cupcakes. Today I made him a small chocolate sponge sandwich cake (it looks about 4 inches or so), with six full size Oreos baked into the sponges, filled with fresh whipped cream, more whipped cream on top with mini Oreos, a full sized Oreo, then dusted with icing sugar and cocoa powder.

^ That looks and sounds amazing looking at the ingredients!

Haven't seen the Elmo ones before - is that just icing on the Elmos? - Must've taken ages if it is.

They look amazing - you've done a fantastic job with these! I've always wanted to have a go at the Cookie Monster cupcakes and you've inspired me to go for it.

This one is cake-specific, but there is the general one here:

Yes, it's buttercream coloured red with a tiny bit of black. I used a 'grass' nozzle for the fur, and half an Oreo biscuit for his mouth ! It didn't take that long actually.

thank you but they are far from perefect lol, the main thing i have learnt whilst making them is that if something goes wrong or not quite to plan do not stress about it, just improvise

and thank you Christian Grey

They're brilliant!

Made some cupcakes for sons girlfriends 19th birthday, First time I've done this design before. I think the birds need a little tweeking, but I'm pleased with them for a first attempt.

Nowhere near as pro looking as most on this thread, but had a first go with some colouring gels after reading some rave reviews on here:
