Hi

Asking on behalf of a friend. Her Kindle will not connect to her Wi Fi all of a sudden. It asks for the pass word or to reset it or something. She has tried both. She also can't get her mobile to connect any more. Says it's out of range. However, her computer is still connected and working with the Wi Fi.

Any ideas? we are both not good with computers and technology.

Thanks in advance

Things to try:

1. turn off/on the wi-fi router.
2. change the wi-fi channel on the router
3. turn off the wi-fi security on the router temporarily to test if the devices connect.

I have this sort of problems with my private devices on my work wi-fi, sometimes they connect sometimes they don't, but since they are private, I could not do anything about it.

Another think to try is to completely reboot the Kindle - slide and hold the standby key until the screen goes completely dark (no standby picture). Then turn it on again.

My sister in law had a problem with her Kindle misbehaving - I suggested that and it fixed her problem (I forget what it was exactly).

Edit: Ah sorry - I missed the bit about the phone not connecting either, so it's the router, not the Kindle.
