Does anyone know what Apps, Panasonic TVs are meant to have.

according to their website, (http://panasonic.net/avc/viera/globa..._apps/area/42/)

theres ;-

BBC Sport
BBC News
Netflix
and many more, missing from my TV

Under http://panasonic.net/avc/viera/globa...ted_models/#eu my TV appears to be supported,

TX-L32G20E/ES - (Mine is TX-L32G20B, according to manual B represents UK model, so assuem E,ES represents European models)

This is a 2010 model, so the apps you have listed are most likely unsupported just like many other manufacturers' models released at the same time (Sony, Samsung).

yep, looks like it. Just saw this on the website.

* Even if the apps are shown here as being compatible with your VIERA TV, they may not be usable depending on your TV model and its functions.
They should make it more obvious.

Can't understand why the apps aren't compatible, as other similar Apps are - Panasonic's way of making sure they have future sales, I guess.

It's the do with the new standards and technologies used in the apps. Your TV is too old to be compatible with it. Sony and Samsung 2010 models don't get these features either.

When queried Panasonic about Netflix, their explanation was;

the chip that handles VieraCast in the older models lacks the necessary embedded DRM (Digital Rights Management) code to enable compatibility with Netflix. Sue to the system requirement issues, Netflix cannot be added to pre-2010 models
This suggested that it would be available to 2010 models.

So why did they update to Viera Connect (from Cast), if there's no additional content to be aquired ?

You’re on the treadmill of continuous improvement that insures that all today’s products are quickly ‘out of date’! The only way to beat the system is to buy a new telly every 9 months!
