I think I'd be disowned if I called any of my family by their first name. No matter how extended, they're Auntie/Uncle/Granny/Grandad/Cousin, then name.

I don't think that was the orginal plot though the wedding stuff was though and now they've recently been adding in extra scenes and maybe they put those scenes in the same ep to please both fans. Just an idea i truely believe they kinda just slotted stuff together. It's all very confusing though no wonder casual viewers are confused one minute ste's saying he needs brendan out of his life next he's persuading him to stay
