Oh dear..what the hell was liam gallagher doing at the closing ceremony of the olympics? I mean, what a sell-out. The one man on this planet who can't stop himself from using his potty mouth not only is on his best behaviour (no doubt because he was performing in front of royalty) but when has that stopped the wannabe rockstar! But even more was to come...Wake up this morning to find him posing with the spicegirls all over the papers..haha..What the hell happened liam? Its hard going being a pretender hey..Get back with noel and co and at least try to be what you always acted out..A wannbe ROCKSTAR..

He's older and (a little) wiser now probably.

As for being seen hanging out with the Spice Girls, I expect their paths crossed a fair bit back in the 90's. They were the two biggest British bands of the decade.

Remember, he's married to one of the All Saints.

What a load of bull... 12 years ago he was coked up out of his head. He's not 20 anymore, he's 39.

By your logic, should Jimmy Page be running around hitting everyone over the head with a guitar at the age of 68?

Mind you, I should expect such crap posted from someone who listens to Michael Hutchence and Kylie Minogue

You know what, you can get all on the artistic cred high horse, but the simple fact is Wonderwall is one of the best songs ever, they played a great version of it, and it was a real centre piece of that ceremony. One of the very best moments of the whole thing, and it proved whatever anyone thinks of Oasis they deserve to be consider up there with the all time greats. I would have been more pissed if it had been omitted from what was effectively a celebration of the best British music of the last 50 years. There are a lot of fans of other great bands that are annoyed now that they weren't asked to perform-so don't complain.

Plus: Lets face it, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, quite literally, he'd have been daft to pass it up. I don't care that he didn't swear. Why would that make him cool? If anything its showing he's grown up.

Sell out? Does that mean The Kinks, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Queen also lose their credibility then? It's the Olympics closing ceremony, something that may not happen again for another 30-40 years... it's not the x factor.

Paul Weller look? Guess that applies to everyone then? Black Blazer and trousers...

I thought it was a very good mature performance from beady eye, why would he act like he was in the early days of oasis in front of the whole world? It was great exposure for his new band (well same band minus Noel) who may not of known of beady eye. His vocals were good too.

I don't think he did, but it's not as bad as it usually does... he certainly gave it a good go. Still, better than miming I suppose. The voice of 96 has gone.

Well yeah the voice of 96 has gone. But if you listen to some of his live performances over the last 10 years with oasis it was a good vocal

They're not fueding... their was a fall out three years ago which lead to the split. From what I gather, they just go about their way making their own music.

He never had a 'voice' to begin with!

Just one tedious nasal whine, which curiously, has gone up an octave, and now sounds like a girl!

It was the atittude that sustained him.

Just sounded like a cover by a non-original artist.
It really was that bad.

Yeah what a sell out wanting to appear at the greatest celebration this country is likely to see in his lifetime.

I'd much rather have had Noel sing Don't Look Back In Anger since he sang that one originally. Also where the hell was Paul Weller? I'd much rather have had him then Emeli Sande 3 times!!

I think they asked Noel but he didn't want to do it for some reason. He was photographed at the Olympic stadium though Saturday night, so he must of been free on Sunday as he was also at villa park for the city match.
