Massive Neighbours Spoiler!!!!
SPOILER: SOURCE ERINSBOROUGH.NET
* * * * * * * * * * * * FIREBALL! Who will die when a piece of Erinsborough history goes up in flames? This can’t be happening! Lassiter’s is going up in flames, with some of out favourite Ramsay Street residents trapped inside! In what is undoubtedly the most dramatic cliffhanger in the 19-year history of Neighbours, Lou’s Place and The Coffee Shop explode in a massive fireball after an arsonist, whose face we do not see, sets them alight! Tragically, one regular character will die in the inferno, while another will suffer horrific injuries that will have a dramatic effect on the rest of their life. Meanwhile, a familiar face is on the sidelines watching the chaos unfold, in the edge-of-your-seat episode to air Friday, December 10. TV WEEK can reveal that it is none other than secret lovers Sindi (Marisa Warrington) and Stuart (Blair McDonough) who appear to be among those unable to escape the flames. Having recently embarked on an illicit affair, the couple have been doing everything they can to prevent Sindi’s ex-boyfriend, Toadie (Ryan Moloney), from discovering their relationship. After realising that Sindi has not emerged from the pub after everyone else was seemingly evacuated, Stuart gives little thought to his own life when he runs back into the burning building. Frantic, he finds an unconscious Sindi lying on the floor in the pub’s bathroom. Throwing her over his shoulder, he desperately tries to make his way back outside. However, by this point, the fire has well and truly taken hold. While the residents of Ramsay Street watch helplessly outside the complex, there is suddenly as enormous explosion! “Sindi has been knocked out in the bathroom from smoke inhalation and no one knew she was gone,” Marisa says. “It’s only when Stuart asks, ‘Where’s Sindi?’ that they realise. That’s when he rushes back inside and finds her. He’s trying to ger her out, but then the whole floor falls through. The entire place is going up.” Meanwhile, Max (Stephen Lovatt) rushes back towards the burning Coffee Shop to retrieve a sentimental item of Harold’s (Ian Smith). Everyone gasps in horror when Max is thrown into the air by a huge fireball! Unconscious, he is taken away by ambulance to the hospital. Will he survive, and will Sindi and Stuart be found in time? A guilt-stricken Izzy leaves Karl at the altar What was she thinking? Having lied, cheated and manipulated her way to the altar, Izzy Hoyland is stricken at the most inappropriate moment by an uncharacteristic crisis of conscience – she realises she doesn’t deserve much-older, kind hearted lover, Dr Karl Kennedy. Now, Izzy (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) will do something that will stun all of Ramsay Street. Resplendent in a stunning bridal gown, the sexy bad girl of soap does a runner from the wedding, leaving a devastated Karl (Alan Fletcher) at the altar! In not-to-be-missed scenes, the big day arrives, but Izzy is devastated when she learns that the reception centre has been flooded. While Karl tries to find an alternative, Izzy is thrilled to discover that Lassiter’s is available. As this was the venue for Karl and his first wife, Susan’s (Jackie Woodburne), recommitment ceremony, Karl is reluctant. But Izzy turns on the tears until he gives in. As Izzy gathers her thoughts alone shortly before the wedding is due to get underway, a far-from-welcome face from her past suddenly appears – the mentally unstable Gus Cleary. A clearly disturbed Gus (Ben Barrack) tells Izzy: “I’m the only one who knows the true you.” Terrified, Izzy screams for help, but Guns runs off before anyone can grab him. “It’s all just too much for Izzy,” Natalie says. “Gus coming back is just another blow – and she’s frightened of him. She wonders how he got out of hospital. The things he says are really creepy.” As Natalie explains, Izzy starts to wonder whether these are signs she should not fo through with the wedding. “Everything seems to be telling her, ‘Don’t do this!’” she says. “She starts to wonder, ‘Is this the right thing?’ She knows Karl is the most beautiful man and she loves him, but she’s in a state of panic. “She also feels that Karl doesn’t deserve this because she feels so self-loathing at that point. She thinks, ‘I’m not going to let Karl ruin his life for someone who is not worth it’.” When Izzy’s brother, Max, arrives to walk her down the aisle, she tells him she will pop out the back and meet him around the front of Lassiter’s so she can make a “proper entrance”. But Izzy uses the chance to make her escape. Things get worse still when, driving away from Lassiter’s, a distraught Izzy almost has a car accident with Susan, who gets out of her car and wastes no time in telling Izzy exactly what she thinks of her. “Just keep on driving and don’t ever come back,” she tells Izzy. What will Izzy do? Steph’s finally pregnant – but it’s not all good news as Charlie’s health fails Steph Hoyland receives wonderful news this week – she’s pregnant! She and her husband, Max, are overjoyed that they have finally got their wish. “The IVF has worked and there’s lots of excitement, although Steph and Max decide to keep it under wraps until the three-month period is up,” explains Carla Bonner, who plays Steph. But Steph’s happiness is short-lived. The health of her grandfather, Charlie (Cliff Ellen), is deteriorating rapidly and Steph is determined to make his last days as comfortable as possible. “Charlie is not in a good way when he comes back to the family,” Carla says. “It’s up to Steph, Lyn (Janet Andrewartha) and Charlie’s sister to look after him.” In the end, it is Steph who is by Charlie’s side when he passes away. Devastated, she moves a pillow out from under his head in an attempt to make him more comfortable – just as Lyn and Charlie’s son, Michael (David Paterson), walk through the door. Michael is mortified, convinced Steph smothered his father. Stingray returns to Ramsay Street this week and reveals that he’s not moving to the country after all. Making it clear to his ex-girlfriend, Serena (Lara Sacher), that he wants to resume their relationship, Stingray (Ben Nicholas) is shocked when Serena hints that she’s met someone else. Indeed, Serena has developed strong feelings for Boyd (Kyal Marsh), her cousin Sky’s (Stephanie McIntosh) ex-boyfriend. Later in the week, a jealous Serena sabotages a meeting between Sky and Boyd but, after feeling guilty, confesses everything to Lana (Bridget Neval). As a result of Lana’s advice, Serena orchestrates another meeting between the couple, and Sky and Boyd finally fall into each other’s arms. But Serena is left feeling alone. |

Err, didn't this happen once before? I seem to remember a huge explosion in the Lassiter's complex, which took out Daphne's coffee shop and that newsagents (?). That was the birth of the pub (Lou's Place).
Or I might be completely wrong - my memory is very hazy.... |

Usually its only one part of the Lassiters complex though...ie: one time it was the Cofee shop, another time it was Lou's pub....this time, its ALL of them...the entire complex! Everythings going to blown to smithereens!

Yes the Water Hole - now Lou's Place - blew up 12 years ago back when Brad Willis still worked there.
This big episode that we will be getting in February 2005 sounds cool, pity if its a really crappy regular like Sindi or Stu who die. I want to actually care that this character has died!

I knew he was back but I hadn't heard that reasoning before though.
Interesting theory- how would he benefit though? He doesn't own it does he? |

I dont believe we have to wait till February, and I dont believe how much longer this annoying Izzy and Karl storyline is going to run for, it's been quite entertaining but now I just want it to end!

God no! She's stringing poor Karl along, and is the only thing standing in the way of a Karl and Susan reunion.

Yes, but it does seem like they have started to portray a more human side and developing the character- what with the councilling. It sort of explained why she feels the need to manipulate him if you know what I mean.

Wow! What a storyline!
Is it just me or is Neighbours getting REALLY good lately? I've kind of grown up with it but only recently I've actually really started enjoying it

It's certainly a lot better now than it has been for the last few years.
![]() I just hope they don't go too OTT- I like the fact they can do things like this but still make character interaction paramount as I have always considered that to be a very important part of the show.

God I hate Karl, I'd give anything for Izzy or Susan to run him out of Erinsborough.
All I know is:
Spoiler
Apart from that, psycho's have been on the increase in Erinsborough for the last few months - so the list suspects could be long. |
