Rob- Corrie

Rob is sexy but there is nothing interesting about his character, he is just seems desperate to bed the streets women, his relationship with Eva is pointless and now he is going to move onto Stella- I am disappointed with Corrie writers over this.

Can't stand him. His presence gets more ridiculous every passing day. I hate how he's stepped into the bosses shoes at the factory, what right has he got to be lording it over the girls, he has no idea what he's doing! He's got an air of authority all the time, what the hell is all that about? He walks around like he owns the joint and everyone else in it. As if he does, he's an ex-convict who's spent much of his adult life behind bars.

The whole point of him was a new angle to Carla, and they should have waited until she came back instead of introducing this bland, highly irritating man who serves no purpose whatsoever.

i mean he's never going to be thrown in massive situations like carla lets face it, he'll just be in her shadow i reckon all the time now being baby brother n'all and like they should when she gets back give them a massive storyline together because ali king being as amazing as she is she'll help him get started properly like keep it going and he could become really liked if that makes any sence.

The prod's interview with Digital Spy said it all.

Quoting his interview - "We've not had a chance to really explore the brother/sister relationship between Carla and Rob yet, as they only crossed for a handful of episodes. Once Carla is back, that will definitely be on the cards. That's the whole point of having Rob, really - they're going to be 'Cain and Mabel' almost! It's always interesting to see a brother and sister at war, and that's what we can expect a lot more of as we move into next year."

He must be there to argue with Carla.

I reckon something's gonna happen with him and Stella before Carla returns.

Stella will ask Rob to go round the back!

well apparently Marc Baylis has been around for quite a long time but the character he is playing in Corrie has not taken off yet.

That just annoyed me reading that. Why still introduce him when they've given Carla time off? Couldn't they have waited until the new year instead of having him pointlessly hanging around for six months in limbo? Do they expect us to take to a brand new character based on half-baked ideas and poor planning?

He got his qualifications whilst serving time in prison, his business acumen is much easier to believe than Michelle's. Nick came round a few times once and helped her and now she knows everything, I must apply for a Nick Tilsley course in business

Agreed. Right now Rob is a completely pointless character. I feel sorry for the actor. They should have waited until next year to introduce him if they insist on making it all about Rob and Carla being at loggerheads with eachother.
