Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the bottom bar, progress strip etc when using the i player on full screen ?. It disappears by itself on small screen.

No probs here.
When you switch to full-screen make sure that the cursor is off-screen.
Moving the mouse to put the cursor back on-screen makes the progress bar re-appear
Works for me, anyway.
