How many LNB feeds - if two are they correctly connected to the two outer connectors - and where they there when you installed it.

IMake a note of schedule (needs to be reentered) - do a factory reset - watch for message that two feeds detected.

Humax foxsat hdr 1tb.

I have just one feed, with loop-through used, and set to "2 cables, same".
To do this, the secret key is R,G,Y,B,G,Y,B (colours). This feed has
a DiSEqC switch and is coming from 2 dishes, one mini-dish for Astra2
and a bigger one for Astra1 and Hotbird (twin-feed).

Just using freesat, I have these successes/conflicts:-

Radio only works on its own.
Red button disrupts recordings.
hd only works on own
itv1 with any bbc channel - yes.
record bbc1 and ch4, yes.
record bbc2, watch ch.4, no.
record bbc4, watch 4/7, no.
record ch5, watch bbc1, yes.

In general, dual-recording and watching is best across a 'group', like bbc,
and this is also true on hotbird and astra1.

I can't record one satellite, watch another, presumably this is because
the DiSEqC can only select one satellite at a time.

It was suggested to me that this satellite system could be improved by
doubling up the feeds, so 3 more lnbs and another DiSEqC. I'm sure that's
right, but as most of what we watch is freesat stuff, it will be easier for
us to get a better freeview box, with a hard disk and a lan.

I'm generally quite pleased with this box as it's the only one I could
see that does proper freesat with recording/pause etc and can see other
satellites. It would be nice if I could change satellites instantly
though, rather than having to use the menu option.

Our 1tb disk is 17% full already!

Bob.

Two cables same is the setting for two LNB's feeds (same satellite)

You should use the single feed setting - It is ASSUMED that the loop is used in this situation.
