Sharon's Return overshadowed?
Anyone else other than me feel that Sharon's return has been overshadowed by Heather's murder reveal. I like Sharon, I like her return, but I think it was a bad idea to have it coinside with Heather's murder reveal week. I feel like the acting from Shirley and Denise and also Ben is overshadowing her return and making it seem less memorable, I mean, I've been looking forward to her return, but last night I felt that I was more eager to see Shirley and Denise hunt down the murderer than Sharon and Dennis Jnr reunited. And tonights episode, I really cannot wait for tomorrow to see Ben accidently confess than I am to see Sharon come back to the square to see the new and old neighbours (which is what I've been looking forward to the most about her return). Anyone else feel that?

It was inevitable that the Murder Reveal would overshadow Sharon's return. Having said that, I am enjoying both storylines immensely and think it was a good idea to run two big storylines simultaneously.
The BBC hyped it up far too much, that is for sure. There was no need for such a dramatic trailer for Sharon's return (it did whet our appetites, however). |

I Think, Sharon aint had enough scenes.
There was she gets in the car.... on the road... In the woods... On the road and getting Dennis back... Outside the shop... In The Sq.... And they were quite short scenes. they could have made it more dramatic by having Dennis being caught in the last 5 mins and faster dramatic car chase ect... i also think other peoples scenes should be cut down. But i think the BBC are doing it so its a Memorable week.... |

Sharon in the last 1 and 1/2 hrs featured in less than 15 mins of footage! As a result there was no build up or tension. Denny was not in danger long enough for me to care, nobody knew anything about John or Nina so were not invested in the story. It was purely down to the writers and editors and I think LD and Sharon were short changed. Very glad she is back in Walford so she can interact with those she knows and and doest now. And characters the viewers know.

Regardless of the number of scenes she had, this week is primarily about the reveal.
