I'm not a dancer, so I can't get into technical ability - but the charisma that Denise exudes is tremendous. By contrast, I hardly get a flicker of charisma from Jill. If I was from another country, and was asked to pick the actress out of the two ladies without knowing any better, I'd pick Denise every time. There is so much drama, flamboyance and emotion in every performance!

I pick up more charisma (and fun/sparkle) from Jill because she is more my type I guess; it's a subjective thing, but it doesn't make me appreciate Denise any less. Perhaps I warm to Jill because I think she combines talent with a personality, whereas I think Natasha K is just talented (I think Denise has much more personality than her though).
On the technical side of things, Jill is more precise with her feet and hands and is better at "going solo" whereas Denise has much more poise and better posture etc. If you gave Denise Jill's hands and feet, you would have the perfect dancer (probably). I'm delighted that both of them in the final though. |

For me it's the same only swapped. When Jill comes on to dance I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to be totally 'wowed' by her. I love her passion out there, I love how much effort she puts in, how technically perfect she is and I love her and Darren. I think she oozes charisma. I was in a pub when Jill did her Jive a few weeks ago and a room full of people just stopped talking/drinking and sat open mouthed at her. She's stunningly good. I think Denise is a lovely lovely lady, I really like her and her dancing is also wonderful. Her commitment to the dance is evident on her face and is something that only Jill and her have (Julian just looks bored !) and again, technically she's pretty near perfect. However the difference is that watching her I just see a man in drag. That sounds harsh, but she has a muscular athletic body, she's very tall and large framed and I don't get any sense of elegence or 'ballroom' from her, even though technically she's an excellent dancer. I think that's what seperates the two for me, although I wish they could both win as they both deserve it ! |

I think Denise is very elegant, but I am just warmer to people from an acting/theatre background than I am to people from an athletics background (as much as I liked Roger & Camilla, Roger did have a bit of the personality challenged David Brent thing going on). I am big fan of Julian (but not his dancing), but I feel less enamoured with Aled when I see one of his albums (and him advertising it) on daytime telly! All subjective and very silly, but it obviously matters.
I voted for the first time tonight (10x for Denise), but she still got the least number of votes. I won't be voting in the final, as I think Jill & Denise would both be worthy winners. |

They didnt need that harshness of the judges to see that. even he said its not right, its not right when he got through. What about the harshness to Jill and Darren?
Jill and Darren are the run away favourites so didn't need to win the judges vote. Diane and Ian have not won the public over so needed the top marks from the judges to help them survive. |

Denise on ITT Tonite. Did she come across as arrogant, self-obbsessed or any oter horrible thing that people have said about her on this board? No. Also is it me or did the questions Claudia asked seem a bit of. To Jill and Darren it was all did u have fun, how did u feel about the judges comments and are u looking forwrd to Blackpool. To Denise it was would u be livid if Julian did better that u? Why didnt she ask the same question to Jill? Is she inadvertently saying that Jill and Darren have no1 to worry about?

I even surprised myself then and put it down to momentary madness! There was just no other explanation for it! |
