HERE is the news for the BBC — Sun readers want to boot Bruce Forsyth and Amanda Holden off the telly.

A BBC spokesman said: “We welcome all comments from our audience because they are the people we need to listen to.

“But some of the results are a surprise – 11.2million people enjoyed Bruce Forsyth on Strictly Ballroom Dancing on Saturday.

Although Bruce can sometimes be abit annoying and have some stinking jokes. Thats the appeal of SCD. Just a wee bit cheese. I think it could suffer greatly if he got the boot. Who exactly would they get to replace him?

Justin Lee Collins is brilliant. He's really funny on Flipside TV but i'm not sure if he would fit in on the main SCD show.

Bring back his show for SCD series 3 though. I cannot stand Claudia and want JLC back to present the "extra" show when it comes to the time for the next series.

PS: Come on Jill And Darren for Wed 22nd November Champion Of Champions final!!!

I think tonight's programme shows that the title of this thread is spot on. He can't even read the autocue properly.

I think he is definitely getting on a bit. But he still does add that bit of age/class to the programme. I still have not come up with a solution as to who would be better to present the programme. It needs someone with class/elegance (Of course Natasha Kaplinsky could be the ideal lady presenter but finding a male counterpoint with the right class.. I don't know).

Maybe Bruce is a bit vain d'you think? He seems to squint when he is attempting to read the autocue, I reckon he needs to be wearing specs, perhaps that's half his trouble.

I really can't stand Brucie. When he does his dancing and singing I think it's really embarrassing. Not to mention his 'jokes'

A 3 year contract .......... OH NO!

It's vanity on a grand scale with Brucie I'm afraid. And he's always had wives considerably younger than he is, god knows what the attraction is. He's also got a 5 year old son I think, another septugenrian father like Des O'Connor, very sad. Apart from anything else its unfair on the kids because theyre unlikey to have the support of their fathers beyond their teens years.

Time to retire gracefully Brucie and play golf, it's not as if you need the cash, not really.

Yeah but he cant be that rich. I mean if he was Anna Nicole Smith's late husband rich I could understand *urhh* but it's Brucie?!

Youre quite correct Laura, but I still dont think fathers should be having kids beyond 50 years of age, and it makes Des O'Connor even worse in my eyes now.

Bruce Forsyth is ****** awful, his 'jokes' aren't funny and his crude remarks are just cringeworthy. Don't even get me onto his 'dancing', his cutting off the judges .... I didn't think much to Natasha either but Tess was even worse.

I think that Lily Savage would be a good presenter

Let's get some facts straght:

Bruce's son JJ is 22-years-old. Bruce was 54 when he was born.

As much as I like the character of Lily Savage, Bruce is in a different league. Paul O'Grady didn't even manage to successfully complete ONE pilot show for a new series of the Generation Game.

In my opinion, Bruce Forsyth is an immensely gifted entertainer. In an age when few people can make you laugh, Bruce never fails to make me smile and he does so without the stream of crude and rude material that most resort to these days.

I doubt whether I will be as fit as him at 76, let alone capable of presenting a live television programme. Strictly Come Dancing is proving a fitting end to a stunning career and I hope he'll manage a couple more series of the show before he finally calls it a day!
