The Queen was well aware of why Paul did what he did, why he tried to protect some of Diana's property by removing it from Kensington Palace, and she was in agreement with his motives. If the Queen hadnt agreed with his actions, would it really have been 3 1/2 years before action was taken against him - and would that action really have been in the courts and in public?

I saw the interview with Vic Reeves - my interpretation of it was completely different from everyone else's I think. Whe Ant & Dec suggested (tongue in cheek) that Janet probably fancied Paul, that's when Vic made his remark about Compton Street. I took this to mean that he thought Janet was more of a bloke!
