Wet Wet Wet - First night of tour
Dannouk
02-12-2004
Did anyone else see Wet Wet Wet on the first night of their tour after reforming in Brighton last night (1st Dec)? They were truly brilliant - even better than their old form. Made me remember what it was like to see a good band playing good music live - no backing tracks just pure talent.

Did they have a support act?

Just wondering if it was worth going early or not?

They appear to have different support acts at differents venues. The one at Brighton was different to Cardiff at least.

The one in Brighton was a female singer called Katie something - very very good too! It may be worth going to see the support as at one venue Graeme and Marti joined the support act..

The concert was everything youd expect from the Wets and they actually sounded better and looked more comfortable than any of the other gigs Ive seen them do.

My sister has been a massive fan since the Wets started out, so I got her tickets for Brighton on the 1st for Christmas. She said they were excellent, and just as good as previous concerts (and believe me, she's been to a few of theirs!)

I saw Wet Wet Wet on Saturday night at Newcastle- absolutely fantastic!
Couldn't have been better......being at the front would have been good, though!
Marti was great as well as the two guiatrists- who played an equal role in the performance.
The atomosphere was fantastic, especially when 'Love is around' , 'temptation' and 'lip service' were played- unforgetable!!!

I'm going to see them at the NEC on Sunday night - can't wait. Also I understand the support that night is James Fox who I really like too. As he and Graeme co-write a lot I'm hoping they may get to perform some of their original songs together too which would be brilliant.
