EVIL Kirsty Soames stuns her lover Tyrone Dobbs when she tells him he’s not the father of their baby daughter.

The twisted ex-police officer drops the bombshell on poor Tyrone when he says he’s taking Ruby away from her after a series of violent outbursts.

In scenes to be screened next month, Tyrone (Alan Halsall, 30) tells her: “I won’t stop you seeing Ruby but my mind’s made up.

“There’s no way I’m letting you have custody.”

But Kirsty (Natalie Gumede, 28) hits back: “She’s not your baby.

“While you were busy this morning I was in town registering Ruby’s birth.

“I left the father’s name blank, father unknown
“You have no legal right over my daughter.”

The news comes as a massive shock to Tyrone as the grease monkey faces losing his daughter.

A show insider said: “For Tyrone, this is worse than the beatings he has taken from Kirsty.

Tyrone has silently endured the violence for months now.

But that’s all about to change when his best pal Tommy Duckworth gives Kirsty a dressing down in front of everyone.

Chris Fountain, 24, who plays Tommy, said: “Tommy instantly jumps to conclusions and assumes Kirsty has burnt him, but actually she hasn’t.

“Later on, Kirsty’s having one of her temper tantrums and Tommy can’t hold back any longer.

“He tells Kirsty that he knows all about what she’s been doing to Tyrone.”

Do we think it's actually true or she's just left the name blank to pretend that the baby isn't Tyrone's?

She has to be lying. Her twisted mind is just working overtime I think.

Love the character though ...

I also hope she means 'because you're not on the birth certificate you're not legally recognised as her father', rather than 'I slept with somebody else and you're not her biological father'.

Poor Tyrone, it would be nice for him to actually have something nice happen.

Don't you think that Tyrone should insist on a paternity test to prove one way or another whether he is the father?

If only there was some sort of test you could do that would establish paternity

After baby Jack you would think Tyrone might have heard about such a test

Well, duh, yes of course he should. We'd be booked in the next day if it was me!

I could kind of see this coming. Tyrone is a nice sympathetic character and Kirsty is pure evil. The baddies never last long term so Kirsty is bound to leave soon. There's no way they'd have him tied to her for the rest of his life through their child, his misery would never end. They'll either kill her off and have Ty raise the baby or have it revealed he's not the father and have her leave with her baby. They've already killed off his ex-wife Molly leaving a small child motherless so i cant see them going down that route again. My guess is he's not the dad.

Indeed, and I still think that test was flawed and that Tyrone really is the biological father of baby Jack

Oh dear.

This sounds like Kirsty is going to head down the route of becoming a proper Corrie 'psycho'.

Such a shame for what could've been a great, longer-running character.

As I've said many times in the past, she'll be causing explosions before we know it ...

Very true. What is PC's obsession with psychopaths and fires, murders and maniacs? It became tedious a while back.

It's all happened at a rate of knots.

Just last week Natalie Gumede more or less said that she didn't want to be in Corrie forever and now we've got spoilers showing Kirsty to be calculating in her evil behaviour (up until now she's always been hotheaded and just 'reacted' to things rather than actually setting out to be malicious).

Any hope of her being redeemed seem to be slipping away. It's a slippery slope. She'll be making homemade bombs in Emily Bishops' back yard by the end of September.

It's only a matter of time until the street goes ... KABLAM!

More great points. Exactly why Corrie needs a new EP.

Could this just be another one of her emotional power trips? She, presumably, knows the ins and outs of what happened with Molly so she will know exactly which nerve to touch.
