I see 02 have once again cut the number of free text u can send in a month down to 10. This is crap as I use the 02 site a lot at christmas and new year when text on the mobile can sometimes play up. Anyone know the reason 02 has cut the number of free text you can send from its website.

It's so you buy some of the text bundles off there website, I remember the time when you could send unlimites txts on the o2 site.

Here a reply I got back from 02 about the free text.

With regards to your query, in an increasingly competitive market it is
necessary to review, from time to time, our offerings to our customer base. As a
result of this, the decision was made to reduce the number of free Send TXT to
10 per month.

I apologise if this causes any inconvenience, however this remains an extremely
competitive offer and research indicates that a free allowance of 10 text
messages per month means that the majority of our regular users will not be
affected in any way.

We also believe this remains one of the best offers in the marketplace, combined
with the best functionality. This now includes group send, sending extra-long
messages and ability to receive replies.

dont worry too much about it! there are loads of other free SMS services out there on the web, http://www.118888.co.uk being probably the best, as they offer 10 free messages a day!! and give a very reliable service.
