i say this based on observations from the last couple of episodes

he got ordered 3 lemonades tonight ate biscuits like they are going out of fashion had his food cut up by his mother and Sharon sounded worried when she entered Max's house and thought something was wrong

would a Diabetes storyline work here ?

^^ just my thinking here^^

maybe but giving a young kid 3 lemonades in 1 episodes (set in 1 night) can't be good for any young kid no wonder he needed the loo

She was worried when he went to the bathroom too, so I don't think he's ill. I think it's the fact that he's the last link she has to Dennis, and she doesn't want anything to happen to him. Plus the fact that she wasn't supposed to be able to have children, so he was a complete surprise and probably the only child she'll be able to have.

They were normal sized lemonades, not pints.

Sounds like most kids to me! They'll eat biscuits and drink pop until it comes out of their eyes if you let them

I agree, no illness here just a Mum who's having a bad day doing what she can to feed and placate her child (don't forget that, although we're four days down the line in 'our' time, they were still only on the evening of Sharon's wedding day in 'their' time last night) after he's seen his Mum leave her fiance, been 'kidnapped' by his nearly-step-aunt and nearly step-father and then nearly been run over running down the road. Sharon is giving him children's version of 'comfort eating' (sweet treats, drinks they don't normally drink all the time, but would if they had a choice etc) to both 'make up' for the traumatic day, but also to keep Denny occupied whilst she scrabbles around trying to find a bed for the night and some money to live on.

So when she asks if he's 'alright' and looks at him anxiously it's because she's thinking back to the day they've had, and also because I think subconsciously she's always wanted to be the kind of mother to Denny that she wished Angie had been to her - attentive, kind, a 'pal' as well as a mum, a 'team' invincible against the world - and is trying to live the mum life now she remembers wishing she'd had.

Something like that, anyway

Diabetics dont crave sugar .Their symptoms pre diagnoses is a raging thirst , peeing all the time , bed wetting and urinary infections .Eating biscuits has no connection at all to the symptoms. An undiagnosed TYpe 1 daibetic , which is what all kids are wouldnt be craving biscuits he would be craving water and liquids .
If he was already diagnosed his mother wouldnt be ordering lemonade and giving him permission to eat biscuits
Also what has cutting up his food got to do with diabetes ?

Same here. One of the worst lines in soap history. I laughed my head off.

Biscuits are generally funny.

Doctor Who: "Hold on one moment, I have to eat a biscuit" while on the phone to a client.
