EE: Teenage girls run things
**catching up on the week since Tuesday*
Only in EE do grown men get kicked out of and barred from their own houses by their teenaged daughters. Funny how Max is the negociator this time, but I seem to remember Lauren and Abi did the same to him not so long ago. There's no way I could have done that to my dad and he did far worse things than Ian or Max ever did! These girls are so spoiled and selfish and it makes me loose all sympathy with them, even when they're in a hard situation like Lucy was.

I'm looking forward to joey steal the Beale empire....serves her right for being a biatch to Ian. I was thinking...if it can be proved he's suffering a mental illness surely he can say he signed it under duress and he wasn't in the correct frame of mind therefore the contract is void?

It's ridiculous. If I'd tried that sort of crap when I was a teenager I'd have been knocked into next week!

soaps always pander to the teenage girl demographic. I suppose it is their core audience.
I agree if I had tried to do that to my dad as a teenager - I would have been knocked into next week. Its unrealistic. But the teenage girls are written as 'entitlement'figures. the worst is Lola who whenever she gets into trouble never seems to learn from her punishment because she is that old cliche " a feisty teenager" |

I came on this forum today especially to see if there was anything about this storyline. I honestly thought I had missed something.
I understand that Lucy has taken on all the responsibility since he had his breakdown but at the end of the day the house & the businesses are his and she has no right to not allow him back. I can't believe that he is going to sign everything over. Maybe in the end he will get everything back by saying that he was not of sound mind when he signed the documents. |

Did not even the lawyer ask Ian anything? He just gave him the papers to sign. I don't like Joey but I hope he steals everything from Lucy.

I think "Ian's breakdown" is a "summer/filler plot" and things will hopefully quickly get back to normal in September.
