EE - Fri 24th August question (poss spoilers)
Sorry for another Ben and Phil thread!!!
In the info for next Friday episode, it says that Phil tries to persuade Ian to help with Ben, but it is taken out of his hands when he gets a phonecall from the prison, and has to say good-bye to the one person he loves. Are we meant to think the Ben takes his life, or could it be something else? Sorry i don't have much knowledge on how the legal system works, however assuming that somebody pleads guilty when they go to their initial cour apperance, they don't need a trial so they would be sentenced there and then, so could the phonecall be that he has been given life? any thoughts? |

There's still a trial I think even when the accused pleads guilty.
Though, I do think he could take his life. |

Killing Ben would be a bad idea. This is the son of Phil Mitchell. He could be brought back and reinvented in years to come.

They have already charged Jay with preverting the course of justice by concealing Ben's crime, but if Ben manages to kill himself before implicating Phil, and Jay keeps schtoom about Phil orchestrating it all out of some misguided sense of loyalty, Phil Mitchell will be free to strut around the square, bullying all and sundry as usual. I'd prefer it if the police learned that it was Phil who orchestrated the while thing, manipulating Jay and untimidating Ian into silence. Phil who should be facing the charges too,. |

That is my guess.
