I am not a big U2 fan but 'Under a Blood Red Sky' is outstanding.

'Sunday Bloody Sunday' is an outstanding song. Then there is 'I will follow'. I would die a happy man if I could write a song like that.

Bono is an idiot but U2 have wrote some great tunes

Considering I'm not a U2 fan I love Red Rocks, Rattle and Hum and Joshua Tree. However I think that goes withot saying.

U2 were only starting to make a reputation for themselves as a good live band at the time of UABRS (1983).Their best material was yet to come. Within 2 years or so they went from being 'good' to 'outstanding' performers...at least before Bono's voice became noticeably shot. Their song Bad was the best 2 chord song ever written, IMO

'Sunday Bloody Sunday' is an outstanding song.
Yes, i've always thought it perfectly encapsulates the frustrations of a Sunday like having to wash the car, mow the lawn, the kids making a load of noise upstairs and shops being shut.

It was what got me into them as at that time they were a breath of fresh air. It's a superb live album with the likes of A Day Without Me and the crowd singing at the end of 40. I could never foresee Bono dissapearing up his own rectum though.

I still have the VHS somewhere and had the audio bootleg of the whole concert for about 20 years awesome show, i think Bono vocally peaked during the Unforgettable fire period tbh as most shows i have viewed and heard during the joshua tree tour he sounds shot.

I have a few shows from the War tour are they are something special to listen to.
