Audition

Whitney Houston cover

Another version of the Etta James cover

I sorta hope he doesn't just do old soul and jazz and camp like Johnny Robinson ended up doing, just because he can sing it.

He's literally got the vocal register to sing the phonebook anything they will throw at him and he'll do it justice - very rare you have somebody of this stature on one of these shows, sad thing is, he won't win and there is bound to be public manipulation going on by the judges on the live shows.

I am a sucker for an amazing vocal and Jahmene has one.

Why do I cringe when such talent has to be showcased on XF? It is the connection with Simon Cowell. I think I just baulk at him getting his greedy mits on such talent.

I wish Jahmene well.

As a 75 year old cynic, it takes a lot to move me, but his incredible voice brought a tear to my eye.

I hope he goes all the way, I just worry whether such a gentle, sensitive young guy will be able to take all the flak that comes with the fame that I am sure he will have, and deservedly so.

I actually thought he was younger than 21 when I first saw him, at least 15.

Shades - Beggin' (The Four Seasons (via Madcon) cover)

His group are good.

Jahmene is the best male vocalist on this years series can't see any male contestants giving a better audition than him this weekend.

Kind of worry for him being bookies favorite it's an X Factor stereotype that early favorites never go far.

Hope he goes a long way.

Maybe its time for that to change then.
I think he is far too talented not to go far, whether its with or without x factor

More nervous than excited. He went through a tough time at bootcamp (very ill) so its going to be difficult to watch

So bootcamp didn't go to plan for Jahmene, but he's through to judges houses.

Please refrain from posting any spoilers here.

Totally agree. He touched me too.

And I too worry about him - he is such a tender soul.

I'm hoping that he gets through to the live shows - I think Nicole would be good at nurturing him and building up his confidence.

Amazing voice.

Great performance last night, even if he was nervous and he didn't think he did his best. i still think he is a shoe-in for the lives.
