I was really worried when I heard he would sing Angels as that's one of my favourite songs of all time and I was literally holding my breath for the first few seconds but then he kept it simple enough for me to enjoy it. Well done!
I think Gary's advice is quite useful, sometimes less is more.
I hope he makes it to the finals. He has a good voice and he seems to be such a gentle soul.

I hope he really gets to choose the song himself for guilty pleasures. I just have a feeling it'd be something completely unexpected and brilliant.

He doesn't seem like he'd have guilty pleasures though. On Xtra Factor he seems like the last one who'd ever be a poser.

You never know.

Does anybody know the song he is going to sing tomorrow?

I wish Access All Areas would come back - they announced the song choices and we saw some of the acts doing sound checks etc

I hope he sticks to the stripped back ballads - nothing too uptempo where he's moving around with dancers as it will affect his vocals. Rylan can get away with it but I don't think Jahmene would

As for 'guilty pleasure' - maybe he'll do a gospel kind of track - something like Amazing Grace that everyone knows

Or 'I Vow To Thee My Country' - the song Rhydian sang

This also has a gospel feel to it

I love Amazing Grace but I don't think it would go down very well in the x factor.
But I agree with you about the stripped back ballads. They show off his beautifukl voice much more than all the oversinging does imho

Did Nicole say he's been rough this week ?
Even at 80% he is better than everyone else

I think she did and I totally agree.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with him not wanting to sing that group song. I wonder if he was given a bit of a hard time after that.
Personally, I thought it was great he stood by his principles.

I think he'll certainly be in the final now.
Couldn't believe Ellla was voted off last night.

I wasn't shocked at Ella being in the bottom 2 but I was shocked at James .
Jahmene would be a very worth winner and I believe a very successful one too

I believe that too.
Have you seen his poems? I found them on his facebook page yesterday. He is not only a brilliant singer, he is also a poet, so maybe one day he can write his own songs?
Those poems are very intense and touching. Love them

Not sure what Abba song he can sing, but I think Motown will suit him down to the ground

How about 'Thank you for the music'?

Oh dear, forgot about that line.
So that one is out, obviously.

We need to show people on the main forum that he is marketable. Maybe like a young Cliff Richard?

I still want him to win. I think Listen is his best performance so far.

Oh, he is definitely marketable, I think he is very versatile.
I honestly believe if you put him in a studio there is practically nothing he can't sing very well.
But I'm not sure about the Cliff Richard idea. Most people find him a bit cheesy these days. I think the R&B and Motown thing would be more promising.
Btw, my favourite performance was Angels. I have since watched it on Youtube several times and it keeps growing on me.

Do you remember the interview with him talking about dancing and saying he can only do the church step and the Beonce booty shake?
I'd like him to do that on the show if he dares.
Loosen up a little and show people he can enjoy himself on stage, I think that might make a lot of people see him in a different light

I wouldn't worry about people on the main forum . Most of them don't know their arse from their elbow .
He will prove them wrong over time

LOL LOL

You might be right

I think the best way to prove everyone wrong is either if he performs at a huge event or sells a large amount of records.
