According to Ann Montini, Ken's long-lost son Daniel (who he had with Denise) is returning to the show in 2005 |

One of Ken's long-lost sons, the offspring of his affair with Denise the hairdresser, is coming back all grown-up and looking for his dad...
All grown-up? Funny that considering the lad will only be 10

a bit of retroactive continuity- they will probably change his date of birth from 1995 to 1985....

It's been passable in the past by changing things by a couple of years - but a whole decade? Ridiculous! Coronation Street would be taking its viewers for fools... |

Well compared to being a very young child when he left, then 10 is 'all grown up'. He'd be just a bit younger than Chesney and Sophie, and so could hang around with them.

Just saying that if he comes back to stay, then he would be with Chesney & Sophie who are older children than Bethany & co, and so would probably get quite a few more scenes, and maybe be treated in the same way Sam Aston is - as an actor rather than a child put on TV. Just a thought.

omg, SORAS in action.
Soras (pronounced sore arse) is a soap ailment, it stands for Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome, common in US soaps. |

I may have got this completely wrong as I haven't always been vigilant in my Corrie watching, but I thought that Denise told Ken that he wasn't Daniel's dad after all? And that her sister's husband, who she ran off with, was...??

Thanks Ben...
![]() I knew that Daniel was born before we ever saw Brian, but I had memories of Denise saying it had been going on for ages and that he was Daniel's real dad... obviously completely imagined memories however!! |

I remember that Ken once said that Daniel thought of Brian as his real dad. As a result, Ken felt it was best to stay out of Daniel's life. Thats where your confusion may have come from.
But Ken is Daniel's biological father as far as we know. |

Speaking of biological fathers, has it been determined 100% that Steve is Amy's father? I know that he is, but I'm surprised that Karen didn't insist on a paternity test; or did I miss that bit?

![]() a) Tracy never had sex with Roy b) Wally couldn't have children So Steve was the only person in "the frame" so to speak. Still, I'm suprised Karen didn't order one like you said...it would have been the perfect opportuinty for them to appear on Trisha - I don't know why that hasn't happened yet! |

He can't be any more than 11 that kid, unless he runs away. He wouldnt be the first 11 year old to run away from home mind.

He’s called Daniel Osbourne, not Barlow. I wouldn’t mind seeing Denise Osbourne (Denise Black) back though, I think she’s a fantastic actress and her character was also brilliant.
Denise and Fiona Middleton (Angela Griffin) were my favourite characters back in the 1990’s. |

No matter what the lad's age, he will probably try to marry Shelley or have a go at Penny King !!!!
