EE: Get rid of Stacey
What a terrible character. Eastenders should be making new sorts of "soap bitches". This is such a copy of Janine with a Slater girl twist. The character is terrible and the actress is too.
I really hope they just get rid of her now, I don't think I'll be able to stand her. |

I agree, it would be nice to have some more diverse characters on EastEnders other than the now typical Bitch, hardman etc

They even employed an actress who looks like Charlie Brooks. In my opinion they know Janine was very popular and now they are trying to recreate that. They need new original characters and not re-cycled old ones and that includes all the so called gangsters/hardmen that they are bringing into the show. We've all been there before.

Although I do kind of like her...no-one in my family does. Why would she be wondering around on her own just to cause trouble?
Terrible character that really serves no purpose. |

Her introduction reminds me a bit of Vicki's. Vicki just seemed to exist to be an annoying pain in ar*e. And look what's happened to her, so I don't give much for Stacey's chances.
She has no redeeming features and as we don't know her history we don't even know why she is behaving this way. And we've already got the Millers who are annoying pains in the ar*e, haven't we suffered enough .

She is definate a rubbish character, acting just as bad, very irritating and brings no enjoyment factor to watching EE - i guess some new characters will flop and i hope she doesn't stay around much longer... maybe Andy when he gets back can make her dissappear, we need not know the details, just as long as its a one way journey

I do think that if they were going to introduce a new character they could have gone with something original. So far she's just a miniJanine. At least with Janine we knew her history, some of the reasons she acted as she did etc. For Stacey to become a proper character they must address her back story at some time, give us an explanation for her acting the way she does, and also give her some depth to her character, a bit of vulnerability, another side to her character, she's very one dimensional at the moment.
But it would have been a lot better if she'd been original and offered something new to the show. As for the actress, she varies wildly, from being incredibly flat to being okay in other scenes, she isn't trained and it is showing, but she may settle and grow as she gets more experience. |

How funny, looks like a personality transplant is heading Stacey’s way in 2005. |

Apparenlty she has a reason for her nastiness. I quite like her to be honest.

I've hated her soince she first set foot in the Square, any scene with her in makes me want to flick channels straight away. Maybe with her 'personality transplant' she may improve, but I'm not holding my breath.

She keeps trying it on with a lot of blokes, Gary, Spencer, Dennis, yet she's not very attractive. A very annoying character. |

"She was brought in to fill up the gap left by Kat (Jessie Wallace)."
huh? I assume they only mean in the sense of having two arms and two legs, I can't see any other way in which she would 'fill the gap'. They do have some odd ideas at EastEnders .

Serious Question Time Now - But Is Stacey’s Grandmother (on her father’s side of the family) Charlie and Harry's sister OR Is Harry Stacey’s Grandfather ??

I don't think you will get banned for asking that question indoguy - though I might get a bit cross if you carry on typing u for you (it's only two more letters, it's not so hard!)
![]() In answer to your question, yes people say positive things about Eastenders, there are even some on this thread if you have a look. There have been a number of discussions recently about EE improving and positive comments about episodes etc. Anybody thinking that this board was unquestioningly anti-EE would be sadly mistaken

We all want EE to improve and return to its glory days (though those heights will sadly not be scaled again that's pretty sure), but so far I have seen very little evidence of any amelioration. Granted it's better than it was earlier this year, but not much. It's way short of 'good' still - it doesn't need a Simon Cowell type of person to make that harsh remark. Without trying to put a storyline down without seeing it, the Den and Zoe preggers storyline if true is utterly pathetic.

Hated her when she first arrived, kind of liking her now as she is annoying Zoe, and anyone who does that is not that bad in my books

I don't understand it. Zoe, Sharon and Dennis are involved in the whole love triangle storyline, but why does Stacey have to get involved? I see her face on the front of magazines with that lot and its so obvious to anyone that she's out of place there.
