Xfactor or the voice?

So the voice wasn't the ratings hit the BBC expected and maybe they didn't get the winner they expected, but it felt more genuine then that shit we saw last night.

IM MISSING THE VOICE

The Voice was just like four bad celebs sitting in an old folks home and wittering on about their accomplishments while watching karaoke.

Already we've got Jahmene eclipsing every Voice contestant vocally, a boring "authentic" songwriting one, and at least an attempt at making it entertaining even if it also drives us up the wall and is all staged.

No one on the Voice even had a nervous chuckle for goodness sake.

Was I the only one who thought all of The Voice live finalists were awful?

They were different degrees of awful with that Vince guy being the worst and then that guy who did some halfarsed version of Bohemian Rhapsody (don't think that was in the final but I can't remember his name)

Yeah he was the worst. That was Tyler he wasn't far behind Vince in terms of being the worst.

The Voice has more talent.

X Factor provides more entertainment.

Depends what you value more in a primetime saturday evening talent competition.

Voice - more talent, Bo Bruce performed at the V Festival, she didn't have any bottles of piss thrown at her, and Vince is selling out every club he's in at the moment, its realistic with the true sense of the music industry, you have to grow (as has Aiden Grimshaw I believe)

X Factor - More circus like entertainment, who just just shoves people into the limelight without earning their stripes first, Cher Lloyd was booed horrendously and of course had a urine bottle thrown at her, basically appeals to people who like N-Dubz or One Direction.

Bo Bruce is terrible. The public love mediocrity and blandness as long as BBC Music keeps reassuring them that it's serious and authentic so it doesn't have to have a single good or original musical idea.

Yeah but who had the bottle of piss thrown at them? The public has spoken, what makes her 'terrible'? Because she doesn't sing the usual up tempo teenybopper pop stuff, or she doesn't wail at every opportunity? - She's a classic ambient/trance singer.

X Factor is the better show, but it has been doing it longer. Watching it on Saturday - particularly Dermot, who made it look so fresh and effortless - it was clear to me.

But The Voice is a nice distraction when the X Factor isn't there.

And Bo Bruce Rules!

One show from this new series showed up all the flaws in The Voice, no excitement, poor production values, no drama and no fun.

And the basic reality is that The X Factor, whilst unearthing a certain number of dud finalists, has a higher quality of singer than The Voice, Mischa B IMO would blow away any Voice contestant last year for example.

the head-rolling in the voice is too rampant for my liking... just as i was getting cozy with the promise of an act/artist... felt like the court of henry VIII when he fancied another woman...

Voice auditions > X Factor auditions
X Factor live shows > Voice live shows

I still think X Factor is the better show.

One person is not the public.

The Voice seems very small and amateurish in comparison to X-Factor. Plus, at times, The Voice appeared to mimic some of the more trashy elements of X-Factor too, so I'm not convinced it's the more authentic experience. The Voice did feel more intimate though, and it was fun enough even if I thought it dragged a little after the battle round.

Rather than the Voice, I'd say BBC Sound Of .... is the BBC's real version of the X Factor, and a more honest reflection of their need to play puppet master over the music charts. BBC Music makes the X Factor seem pretty benign really.

Yer but who had their tour cancelled because the public didnt want to pay to see them. Oh yes that would be the The Voice.

See it works both ways also on a note
1 person and a bottle off piss does not out weight many people not wanting to go on the tour.

Anyway back on topic
For me none of the show have had any amazing talent the only time I found some talent was XF3, So i watch for fun and have to say The voice was dull in comparison to the X factor.
