I like it. Admittedly some episodes are better than others, but the ones that are have raised a lot of laughs which is why i've kept watching.

What's interesting is the timeslot. Series 2 was on at 9.30pm, this time around it's earlier and being shown at 8.30pm.

Have no idea if there will be a new 'Dave'.

At the end of the day it's a bit of fun. Those who moan can watch Mrs Brown's Boys instead!

Amazed this is back. It is so unfunny it is completely off the scale (of dreadfulness). The BBC just don't know when to give up trying to breathe new life into a dodo.

Maybe because it's maintained healthy audience figures? Hardly a "dodo".

New series starts tonight at 8.30pm.

Interesting fact about this 3rd series. Citizen Khan is set in Birmingham, but this new series has all been filmed at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays and at locations across Greater Manchester.

And shocked how much weight Sally Lindsay has put on, can see her being huge in a few years.

Peter Barlow had a lucky escape. He went from that to Carla and Tina lol !

Now with many shows there is "simple" comedy which is fine but it really is dumbing down of the highest order when on this show most of the cast appear to have learning difficulties and special needs.

I really enjoy Citizen Khan, although the writer(s) seem to have Basil Fawlty / Father Ted in mind for much of the scrapes he gets into. While not original, sometimes it's nice to hear a cover band reinvent a song. I get that with this show. The wet future son-in-law is a major weak link though.

No, its ratings are appalling...halving as it's gone on, ending on a dismal 10% share. Only a slight rebound last Christmas stopped it sinking into single figures. That the BBC keep throwing money at it is box ticking at its most cynical.

Agree she seems lovely, but yes, in the trousers on this episode she looked huge!

This.

I just find it boring and I just don't get the humour. I am asian and muslim and just find the show is too weird and creepy. It doesn't make any sense and not sire it's still on as it's not funny.

In this week's episode, doing the John Cleese silly walk was enough, total rip off.

Nice selective reading of the stats. Take out the two outliers and it's maintained a very steady audience.

"Steady audience"?? That's funnier than any gag in the show..they should get you to help with the scripts. And 2 outliers? 4 early ratings around 20%, two late ones around 10%. It was the lowest rating BBC 1 got all night yesterday. It's an unmitigated ratings flop

Yes but its a "box ticker" so the BBC are lapping it up. If they made one of the daughters a lesbian the BBC would give it a 20 year deal !

It was higher than A Question of Sport, and not far behind Not Going Out, although you could argue all three shows' ratings are underwhelming.
