Take a sitcom formula thats 60 years old if its a day, insert a picture of "modern" Britain and it fits the BBC's agenda for racially diverse and politically correct programming. Its as if a commitee had deigned it so. Which it probably had.”
I get that but with the exception of last night's episode, most of the grief and laughs are either by Khan or at his expense and they are hardly ever done by anyone else either way.
I love it when the co stars get a fair few gags, either by making them or being on the recieving end of them. For example, in Only Fools and Horses Xmas special, The Jolly Boys Outing, I absoloutely loved the gag done in 2 parts involving Del throwing the "Great Romondo's" suitcase out of the winda. When he threw it you could hear a little noise outside and later on at the end, it was revealed that the suit case hit both Mike and Boycie as they were walking past the house by sheer coincidence! The way Uncle Albert told Del about what happened was absoloutely hilarious and brilliant.
In On The Buses, characters like Arthur and Blakey were at the butt of a lot of jokes or made them and thats what Citizen Khan needs to do, allow the gags to be shared round more.
In general, last nigts episode was a good one. It should have been the would be mother in law that slipped off the chair and out of the winda as well as being thown back through the winda.
I also can't believe that Shazia and her lofty fiance still aren't married and its now in series 3.
