For me comedies were at their best in the 1970's and lasted alright until the mid 90's. One of the reasons why I think CK isn't bad is because the gaggs are very similar to the ones of the 70's.

Funnily enough that's exactly why think it's terrible.

Think this makes Mrs Brown's Boys look sophisticated.

Really poor sitcom.

Just caught up with this and Bhavna Limbachia and Ronni Ancona both looked very sexy in their tight skirts - fantastic figures.

Think this one was possibly the funniest of the series so far, couldn't stop laughing.

Indeed, but I don't think Styker can have meant any of those, as Citizen Khan is not reminiscent of any of them.

Most of the 70's sitcoms were brilliant, what's your problem with them and sitcoms today mirroring them?

Some of the gags in CK could have easily fitted into into Khan's semi namesake Citizen Smith or Porridge with the messes he gets himself into and Some Mother's Do Ave Em too I think.

Khan is bigoted and sexist. In this week's episode he was asked where his 'real' home was when he told a passer by he was from Birmingham. He later in the episode make a remark about 'his lot' always protesting about something irrelevant thousands of miles away.

I think it is anything but PC, and all the better for it.

Err... I see. 'Partridge' means nothing to me, I'm afraid.

For "fall guy", I take it that's an americanism, which I always thought meant a person who took the blame for something he hadn't done. Actually, I may have the name wrong, but there was a series called "fall guy" which I used to enjoy very much, about a stunt artist I think.

Whether it is PC or anti-PC, I struggle to find it funny. I put it in the same category as Mrs Browns Boys which I've also tried, and failed to understand what others see in it.

Khan is such an irritating idiot in the self inflicted messes he keeps on getting himself unecesarily inmvolved in. He's not the same as the likes of Del Boy and Rodney who a lot fo the times tried really hard to make things better for themselves but kept on coming a'cropper, though obviously some of the things Del bought were obviously non starters from the very begining.

I don't think there has been enough of the co stars used in this series and since the death of Felix Dexter was it? I think they should use Dave and his friends from the mosque more and it probably is time to get Alia engaged and married too.

You shouldn't have deleted it cause it was great! I thought this was probably the funniest of the series. It was really tightly put together as well, cramming so much in, even doing the lottery bit at the end which I'd totally forgotten about!

Some of the gags, okay most of them you can see coming a mile off...! But that's the fun of it. They've definitely been inspired by Some Mothers... for this series. Anyway, the main thing is it was a good laugh.

I have a feeling I may have been watching this from the wrong point of view. Think of it less as a sitcom, and more as surrealism, then it works.

Less My Family (the early series') and more Gurney Slade.

It's miles better than My Family! Wow remember when that was the best sitcom the Beeb had to offer??
