A Good Deed

I went past a cash generator store today and i thought i'd have a look inside and see if there was any cheap games

Anyway as i'm browsing through the PS3 section a little kid about 5 or 6 picks up DC Universe Online and is really happy that superman is on the cover and wants it but his mum reads the back and reads that it is subscription based and doesn't really understand enough about the PSN and charges etc. and decides not to get it, the kid was a bit disapointed so i stepped in and explained that they got rid of the charges and the game is now free to play, so she picks us the disk again and i then explain you don't even need the disk you just find the game on PSN and play it, needless to say the kid was happy and i think the mum was cause i saved her money

It felt good to help them out, has anyone had a good deed moment involving gaming

I tried once, and failed, miserably.

I was in Central London in a tube station back when the Evening Standard was still 50p or so.

So I'm waiting in the queue at WH Smiths and notice the lady in front had a big bottle of vittel.

Cue me pointing out that if she buys a Telegraph at half the price she'd get the vittel for free and she could bin the paper if she wanted, cue some furious mental arithmetic and some disbelief (I DO have a northern accent). Needless to say she ended up just buying the bottle of water.

It's that kind of madness that means I have no sympathy for the plight of comet/currys etc.

I was the one who was helped, I just started playing video games which I mostly heard from friends so I went out looking for those games... The only problem was my friend never told me I could play it in F2P until a kid who's also browsing just told me... Kids this days, they know more about the net than I do.
