Echostar recording problem
Hi all,
Has anyone else set a recording of a future programme, for it not to record? Against the recording in the dialy scedule it was "expired". It was a BBC1HD channel, so could it have been that the station controlled delay feature was left on for too long, so the box did not start recording? I was the opening ceremony highlights from this weekend. But I think I had seen this previous but have since cleared the recording history. |

Any ideas?
It happened again with an ITV HD movie. I use the setting in: TV, Audio & Library Setup>Library setup>Recording setup>Recording Start: Auto rather than "timed". Could that be the issue:? Auto is the default, and sound like the right setting as it allows channels to delay the start. |

I am not having this problem myself.
I have the same setting and my recordings are working fine: TV, Audio & Library Setup>Library setup>Recording setup>Recording Start: Auto I think before the Echostar software updates I used to get that 'expiry' fault but its fixed now for me. The only thing I can think of is if you have had multiple recordings. Obviously if you weren't watching TV at the time you wouldn't have seen any clashes or prevented any failed recordings. I had a problem with Channel 5 before - someone here told me before that Channel 5 freesat timings aren't exactly right so that may cause clashes and failed recordings. You could try the 'timed' option and set it to 1 minute either side but this could offset multiple recordings. Maybe send off an email to Echostar? |

Also happened again with Lord of War earlier in the week.
C5 I thought do not use this technology, so there should be no problem. Do other Echostar users use auto or timed? |
